They make sure to make the laws to be able to do what they need to control the population during crisis.
Yep your right they can. and one day they are going to enter the WRONG house and they are going to pay the price in Blood. And that day, they will be forces to reevaluate the situation.

Yes it should be mandatory that kids have all of their shots. If a parent does not have their kids shots up to date, they should not be in school. This is another big to do about nothing, I don't know why our government continues this nonsense?.

Stop scaring the public, if this is another scare tactic that doesn't materialize?, then it's our goverment claming the sky is falling again. Although I worry about all of these shots that the kids have to take and the side affects that they can cause. Autisim anbody?.

Alabama confirms third H1N1 death..
The death seems to occur fast in seemingly healthy people.

You are correct...but "flu related causes" can and do kill them...healthy or not.

Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitus Bm varicella.... diptheria, tetanus... list goes on.

You telling me some states just allow any kid off the street into public schools without any of the shots above?

news to me...
From the link I posted earlier.

The following 18 states allow exemption to vaccination based on philosophical, personal or conscientiously held beliefs: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Idaho, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Washington and Wisconsin.

In many of these states, individuals must object to all vaccines, not just a particular vaccine in order to use the philosophical or personal belief exemption. Many state legislators are being urged by federal health officials and medical organizations to revoke this exemption to vaccination. If you are objecting to vaccination based on philosophical or personal conviction, keep an eye on your state legislature as public health officials may seek to amend state laws to eliminate this exemption.

Within 10 miles of me and I drive through there almost everyday, but honestly Im not a bit worried, or will I go get a "shot" to protect me from it. Im guessing they will find other contributing factors to that child dying. And its really sad that they died, but I would not risk getting a untested unknown vaccine when there is less than a 1% chance Ill ever get that flu. There is more than a 1% chance that that shot could cause me to HAVE health problems later in life so have to go with the odds.

Im with you in not getting the vaccine because it has not been tested. I have never taken a FLU shot in my life. I also never take anti-biotic unless a problem persist for more than four days.

The new strain can potentially kill a perfectly healthy person with no underlying problems. The vaccine may not even work.

I admitted there were exemption laws on the books, but how often do kids actually get allowed into school because some wacko religious mom thinks her son doesnt need measles rubella, mumps vacciens LOL

the link I posted to Cali requirements, states exemption are allowed,... http://www2.sduhsd.net/tp/immunization.html but not because "parents dont want it" its only religious exemptions and that dont fly too far these days. You sid "because parents dont want it" type of exemption etc...

Adjuvants have never been used for the FLU shot.

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?p...d=a_xObcaSxF2o
===================================
Swine flu vaccine makers may rely on a U.S. emergency declaration to use experimental additives made by GlaxoSmithKline Plc and Novartis AG to boost a limited supply of shots that will be available to fight the pandemic.

The ingredients, known as adjuvants, may be added for the first time to flu shots in the U.S. health officials today are meeting to discuss the additives at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, and to recommend who should receive the limited amount of vaccines drugmakers say they will begin delivering in September or October.

Those 18 states are personal belief states, no religion needed to say no to vaccines.

You win, although I do think theyll be changing some of these laws after this swine flu stuff comes.

People think they can just ignore anything and send their infected kids to school so it infects more are in for wake up call.... personal beliefs or not.

The very idea that parents can do this now should be wake up call to those using public school system...

The stuff they're putting in these Vaccines is pretty scary. I wouldn't put that stuff inside my kids. Not a chance. I'd take them out of school before that.

here is the exemption clause from cali:

"I hereby request exemption of the child, named in the front, from the immunization requirements for school/child care center entry because these immunizations are contrary to my beliefs. I understand that in case of an outbreak of any of these diseases, the child may be temporarily excluded from school for his/her protection."

I am curious how many actually go for exemption now....

Public schools aren't requiring this anymore, or at least they aren't here. If the parent fills out a bunch of crap showing they object to vaccines they get a free pass. It's all part of the AP parenting movement.

I could make a rant thread on AP Parenting alone... but in a nutshell my two cents is it's public school and it's a public health issue; I think all children attending public schools should have to be vaccinated. If you object to regularly vaccinating your child then don't place your child in the public school system.

Ah here is the clause!

the only way a child can get exemption is very strict:

http://www.immunization-sd.org/docs/iz58.pdf

There are 4 ways:

permanent medical Exemption - must have medical condition
Temp Medical Exemption - must have medical condition
Measles, mumps, rubella exemption - must already have been infected
Chickenpox Exemption - must have already had it

So the only way to really get exemption is to already be infected or have medical condition LOL

so yeah, get exempt if you already have the damn disease!

There is

Quote:
Legal Concept of Religion

Therefore, in adherence to the First Amendment of the United States Constitution guarantee of freedom of religion, the test in determining whether a belief constitutes a "religious belief" sufficient to qualify for the religious exemption from immunizations, is whether the adherents' beliefs and faiths occupy a place in their lives parallel to that filled by the orthodox belief in God held by others; or any other "sincere religious beliefs which are based upon a power or being, or upon a faith to which all else is subordinate or upon which all else is ultimately dependent." U.S. Vs. Seeger, 380 U.S. 163 (1965), Sherr and Levy vs. Northport East-Northport Union Free School district, 672 F.Supp. 81, (E.D.N.Y. 1987)
The right to claim exemption from immunization based on religious beliefs is available to all persons who hold religious beliefs against immunization regardless of what any state statute may say regarding the necessity for membership in any particular religious group or church.

Above 2 paragraphs are quoted from
http://www.immunizationattorney.com/yourrights.html Now archived on Vaclib.org
Their Home page: http://www.immunizationattorney.com/
A good Summary of the concept that one is not required to hold formal church membership can also be found at: http://www.alaskawellness.com/archives/school-vacc.htm.
What is true for Alaska applies to other states:
Quote: "According to Black's Medical Law Dictionary, your religion is your personal belief with God and has nothing to do with what church you go to. Therefore, if you feel that mandatory vaccinations that carry known risks including death and brain damage are against your religious beliefs and that God gave you your children to raise, you should have no problem using this exemption."
