You forgot the best part of the "story". 35 minutes after the second plane hit and we KNEW we were under attack, a commercial jetliner was able to penetrate the most restricted airspace and hit the most heavily defended building in the world. It only takes 6 minutes for NORAD to scramble jets, Andrews Air Force Base had two squadrons of fighters on alert only 10 miles away. And yes 500 MPH is slow compared to the 1,500 MPH speed of of the F16s deployed.

Also keep in mind that building 5, located between the two towers and building 7, sustained much greater fires burning throughout and stayed intact.

These are the only 3 steel skyscrapers have "fallen" because of fires in the history of the world. All within a few hours of each other.

Hey idiot. I saw body parts all the way down at battery park which is about a 1/4 mile from the site. How did they get there? The tires from one of the planes was on my block which was 3 blocks from the site. It must have been planted right?

Maybe check out the engineering of the bldg too as it's outside frame was a big part of how it was being held up.

There is an updraft between any high-rise buildings in close proximity to each other and on extremely tall building they don't even need to be near another building. This vertical wind speed can be 10mph or higher (I've been to the WTC on a rainy day and have seen the rain actually going upwards on the buildings).

A passport?s terminal velocity is going to be extremely low (greater than a feather, but lower than a wallet, especially if it is open).. And the horizontal wind speed being funneled between 2 high-rise buildings can be 30mph (and far greater than that) even on the calmest day.

If you figure even a 5mph vertical wind speed lifting a passport I would assume that would defeat the passport?s terminal velocity.

Supposing the horizontal wind speed near the middle to the top of the tower was only 20mph (extremely conservative), then that passport could have traveled 1/4-mile in LESS than 1 minute.

And any fire that occurred would not have been instantaneous, it would have taken a few moments.. After the aluminum plane was ripped apart there would have been ample time for some debris to escape.

After thinking more about this, I have to say that it's not just paper. It's a heavy passport. Paper WILL float around, you are 100% correct. But a passport is fairly heavy, and I'm not so sure it would travel so far, as it has some weight to it. But who knows?
