It's really not that difficult to fly an airplane. Anyone with a few hours of fight training in a simulator could pull it off. I've flown a jet fighter once for a few minutes; While that doesn't mean I'm qualified to land or take off or any of the other ten thousand things a pilot needs to do on a daily basis, I'm pretty confident I could have flown it into a large building without much effort.

I found it really weird how everyone and the government included instantly said it was Bin Laden. It was almost automatic. Just very strange IMO. It definitely did give Bush the justification to go to war with Afghanistan (which made sense) and then Iraq (which never made sense).

Thanks, sounds like you are prepared. One issue is how would I get my precious metals transferred over there? I would have to cash them in, then transfer the money, then re-buy in Bangkok. I imagine I would lose at least 10% in the transactions because the spread on bullion is so much more in other parts of the world.

I thought about leaving the USA for good a few years ago, and considered it this year as well. But I have my mother to think about and would rather be dead than being far away thinking about her back here alone.
