I read on a book about a Russian torture where the make the person swallow one end of a towel, and the other end hangs outside their mouths. The following day, when it's half digested, they pull it out and it pull the internal layer of the stomach with it.

What are you 12? Actually they do lethal injection in Florida now Einstien. Besides who gives a fuck? When a guy gets "fried" he's like dead in a few seconds if not less. If it's your intention to make the guy suffer, electrocution is not going to do that. Personally if I had a choice to be sentence to life without parole or death row I'd take death row everytime. Either way I'm not getting out until I'm dead. At least one death row I get a cell all to myself, I get to shower by myself. No worries about getting beat up, raped or stabbed. Honestly I'm not sure why some of you fuckers think that doing 30, 40, 50 years in maximum security is somehow "easy street". That's assuming you even live that long since you are most likely to be murdered in prison before then. And that death will be more painful than anything the state could do to you. Ask Jeffrey Dahlmer.

A) I can guarantee you that EVERY person that has been put in the electric chair has died.

B) there a have been a FEW, very few cases where something has gone wrong adn it's taken several minutes for that person to die. So basically what you are saying is you want someone to be electrocuted but have something go wrong in the process. Which of course can't be counted on so in reality you're actually for something to deliberately go wrong. And that's simply not going not happen.

If we are going to allow executions (I am pro death penalty, but against its current form) then the whole process needs to be redone and done the same way everywhere. I am against the death penalty until we can be 100% to not kill even 1 innocent person. That is currently impossible in most cases. Though where we do still kill people I want to see the following:

Deaths will be 100% pain free.
Inmates would be put to sleep via anesthesia.
Inmates would then have every usable organ and part removed and sent for medical donation to anyone willing to receive such an organ or part.
All skin would finally be removed along with marrow and that would also be sent off.
Whatever is left could be used for medical research in schools.

Thats the actual moral argument that proponents have to square with themselves in those hard moments of personal reflection.

Maybe chopping off someones arm is the best thing you could do for them. Do you do it over their objections that they want to live with the deformity and are already at peace with themselves?

Lethal injection is less painful, which is why I choose it if you have to execute them. I am against executions. Anyway, sometimes when you put them on the electric chair, they don't die from the first shock. So you have to shock them a second time, third time, etc. until they die.

It was a piss poor job. Believe it or not hanging people has been standardized almost world wide and been that way for a century or more. There are 4 ways. - The last will be what his was to be.

Short drop: Person falls a few inches, they struggle and this makes the noose tighten around the persons neck. Eventually this results in either strangulation or a form of choking due to the vagal reflex.

Suspension hanging or reverse hanging: They use a device such as a crane or pulley and lift the person off the ground a few inches. They die in the same method as above.

Standard drop: They drop the person a set height which is anywhere from four to six feet. This may or may not break the persons neck, if not they die again like above. I think we all are used to seeing this type in westerns.

Long drop or Measured hanging: The person will fall when a trapdoor opens. The height they fall is determined by the persons height, weight, and overall physique. It got adjusted over time and now can be figured out by taking 1,000 (force) divided by the persons weight which gives you the length in feet. However the shortest it can be is five feet and the longest is 8 feet. This was perfected by the British and used in India a lot. Also was adopted in the US pretty quick.

In all hangings you want to make sure the knot/loop is under the persons left side of the jaw. This will typically cause a "hangman's fracture".

In his case they used the long drop and did not calculate things properly. You want the body to still be accelerating when it comes to a jerk stop. You just need 1,000 pounds of pressure though to snap a persons neck typically. At around 1,250 pounds you start to see dislocations of the neck. Head past 1,300 and you start to see decapitations. So you can figure out what went wrong - either bad math, vengeance, and well to much of a drop.

I did get curious to see what the common form of hanging was in that region and did not get too much beyond that Saddam adopted the "American style" but did find out that the Taliban likes to use suspension hanging.

Heard that many require assistance by two or more guards. Even the harder people typically end up struggling and also crying. Some also need to be strapped down and sent in via gurney's.
