It sucks the the money was lost, but as baddog said, when you invest, it is definitely roll of the dice.

not to mention all the first class flights I bought Jman (more than 10), most of his leather furniture for his apartment when he moved in, reduced rent and often no rent when he lived with me and use of my car, storage for MANY years of his car, I can go on.....

none of that was part of the deal. Had it gone the other way - Jman would have won HUGE. I'm just someone to mooch off for him.

and AFTER all that I put in over $36K on the deal and I STILL offered him all my shares in it to take it over and he refused demanding all his money back.

Jman is a great friend so long as you can pay him to be there.

LMAO... that is funny.

Stop trolling Scott, you just making him look better and yourself worse.

Scott says you two both invested into some land? You were responsible for making montly payments and you didn't make any payments after 3,4,5 months?

Is this correct? Did you or did you not fail to make payments?

If yes, then the only person who lost the investment was you. When you are buying something and need to finance it, if you don't make payments you lose all of the money you put into it.

It sounds like you guys use to be tight, you hung out with him a lot when he was making good money. Did he ever buy you things, pay for you, treat you to stuff, take you places on his dime?

For what it sounds like so far, and since you want to bring this up correct me if I am wrong, that Scott did a lot for you, you both invested on some land, your couldn't pay what you agreed to, Scott couldn't either so the land was lost and you blame him. It sounds like if he would have been in better financial position he would have bailed you out.

What else did he do to your before all of this shit below up besides "losing your 15K" ?

Jman is that true? did Scott do all of those things for you?

Do you know anything about investing. When you make a deal you can't decide later when the deal goes bad, "hey I want my money back" wtf ?

If he did half the stuff for you he claims he did, and you are crying about losing 15K and blaming him for it, I think that makes you look real real bad in this situation.

Ugh it's time to just let it go. Keep it to registered mail that your lawyers can appreciate or make a simple phone call. GFY is no place for this

I'm just saying it's sad to watch two guys who were previously such good friends do this in a public forum.

If the money was invested in porn then you already knew it was going to be lost.

Interesting to hear what people who invested and lost nothing have to say...

I lost over $30,000 in processed sales to iBill, thanks to iBill (Gary Spaniak Jr, Daniel Staton, Marc Bell, et al), whom subsequently were involved in a somewhat suspicious deal with Penthouse, and then another apparently shady deal with AFF.

I have little empathy for con artists...

oh yeah, i talked about ibill all of the time from day one on gfy (for good reason, they were my bread and butter). not much if any whining though. i kept it quiet (pun not intented) because i was hoping to bend them into paying out the rest. didn't happen, though i got paid far longer than almost everyone else. i don't lose any sleep over it, c'est la vie. anyway, back to your scheduled programming.

Gotta say im with Sleazy on this one.. shit went bad which it often does with high risk investments and Sleazy told evryone on here that he went bankrupt which is more than a lot of people would do. Most people would just dissapear and you would never hear from them again

I lost evrything 3 years ago and it sucks so give the guy a break

Mention, is different than being
upset, and having
frustrations feelings, anger.

Some have a hard time geting over
failures and mistakes in life.

Which is holding them back, for getting up
again on their asses.

So get rid of those feelings, and get
in the backdoor to doing Bizness. As usual

Investments are about risk. At the end of the day you are the only one responsible for where you invest your money. If the investment fails and you lose the money, just accept it and move on. It's part of the game. There's no crying when it comes to investing

Wow. I'm not surprised that somebody would say such a thing as I know plenty of people who treat their "friendships" like that, especially in this industry. However, I'm very surprised to learn that after all these years, Jman was one of those kind of friends to you.

As long as I have known you, you have always been a generous person. I've seen you pay for flights, hotel rooms, parties, multiple activities, bar tabs, meals, etc...For MANY people.

Different people are generous for different reasons. There are people who do it simply because they have to buy friends and then there are people, like you, who genuinely want to help others to experience things they otherwise might not.

Even when you and I have had our differences, I've always appreciated everything you have done for myself and others.

Agreed. Scott has always been quite generous for as long as I have known of him. I remember goodgirl told me he was one that gave her lots of valuable info was she first got into adult.

Well, someone comes off poorly in this thread, but it isn't the guy who supposedly owes an apology. In fact, if anything, someone had their true colors revealed in this thread.

Been following this drama off and on. I really figured in my mind the amount was in the xxx,xxx range. 15k is still a lot to lose, but with the amount of bitching i figured it was a lot more.

No one owes you an apology. Investments are always risks. The CEO of CitiGroup isn't going to call you and apologize if their share price falls, just as he's not going to expect a thank you card if it goes up. The only thing you are owed is a share of the profits if your investment turns out to do well.

Chalk it up as a loss and learn to make better decisions on where you invest money in the future. Blaming your poor investment decision on someone else is pathetic.

Has jman ever explained why he should be entitled to his portion of the investment when he failed to make a payment for 5 months?

an investment is exactly that. there are risks and rewards. sometimes they dont always work out for the best. no apology needed. It isn't a loan.

I have bank receipts that proves this is incorect like many other statements Scott as cried out on here. I was also advise not to pursue this.

I was wrong to do this post and under some wine influense and got ticked off by a post Scott at yet made again trying to trash me.

There are 2 sides to a coin but unfortunatly for GFY my side was given to legal council.

People can think what they want the important is I know what I did and what happened to me.

If it was an investment of a substantial size, and you only lost $15k, I'd feel like I dodged a bullet. I've lost a few times that over the last couple years, but you win some/lose some. It's a life lesson that prepares you for the future.

However, I guess it's just easier to complain about it when a "friend" was partnered with you, as you can blame them for the downfall instead of yourself (or the economy as a whole). Investments are gambles that are never guranteed. You don't yell at a casino dealer for losing a hand of blackjack, do you? Business investments are no different

I'm sure Scott has covered well over $15k over the last few years with you if you take into account rent, travel, etc. If you're smart, you'll patch it up, truck through the downfall together, and bounce back up when the time is right.

It seems we only see the one unfortunate thing that happens and never all the good things.

It sucks the the money was lost, but as baddog said, when you invest, it is definitely roll of the dice.

I am going to invest in bday parties for you. Kourosh is a winning bet!!

Keep this up and you'd both be better off sitting in the corner rubbing your vaginas. I haven't looked at this board in weeks, maybe a month, it was really disappointing to see this mess.

Well this is the first time I've seen you refute that you didn't violate the contract by missing 5 payments, something Scott has contended from the beginning. He's suggesting you owed him for other things and sent in less than full payments not specifying where the money should be applied. When Scott offered to just let you take over the payments and keep the land all to yourself (including his downpayment), why didn't you take him up on that?

As long as I have known you, you have always been a generous person. I've seen you pay for flights, hotel rooms, parties, multiple activities, bar tabs, meals, etc...For MANY people.

Different people are generous for different reasons. There are people who do it simply because they have to buy friends and then there are people, like you, who genuinely want to help others to experience things they otherwise might not.

Even when you and I have had our differences, I've always appreciated everything you have done for myself and others.
I've seen Scott be very generous as well. I've even seen him give money to a stranger we met and were talking to while getting a bite to eat. It was Christmas time and he could use some extra cash and Scott has a HUGE heart. If there is karma Scott's due big time for some good stuff.
