Affiliate Programs -do you have any restrictions against your affiliates w/Google PPC

Please post in this thread if you do or don't.

Do you allow your affiliates to use ppc to bid on your keywords, site name, anything? If not, do you spell this out in your terms.

Would be nice some companies chime in to let everyone know where they stand on this issue.

if we're making money on the traffic, promote all day.

if not, we'd just ask someone politely to go separate ways and send the accounts payouts. any of our programs this applies to.

I can bid on google ad placement for "Scoreland" and "Score Magazine" and "Score" and point them to your site via your affiliate program?

You can also upload their full length videos and magazines to Rapidshare and use it to promote their affiliate program...

Notice most of the once saying it's not a problem, are PPS programs. I'm sure this will be the case on down the line.

Ok, I'm maybe a little stupid here but why would it matter if it was PPS or Revshare ?

I'm a little surprised I even have to explain it to you.

Cliff Notes:

Because a lot of the PPS programs bang cards and use other shady practices, not counting on the organic traffic so much. They just want credit cards and email addys. How they get it is not such a big deal and they usually take traffic from anyone. If you're revshare only, you need all you can get, because you're probably not going scam anyone to get your money.

You have to explain it because what you are saying doesn't make sense.

What does that have to do with PPC traffic. PPS vs Revshare, what you said could be applied to any traffic source, how is that relivent here. PPC is not organic btw.

So you saying the sponsors who are ok with their affiliates bidding on their keywords via PPC are all shady? You making the assumption that sponsors would let affiliates bid on thier keywords because they offer PPS and they are just going to bang the credit cards. Seriously, wtf ?

POVcash = revshare only
Creative Coin = revshare only
Score = revshare only

so you must be talking about hahaha sites and Teenrevenue, since those are the only two I can find that posted so far that offer PPS.

BirdBucks does not have any ppc marketing restrictions in its TOS currently and I do not forsee any reason for that to change in the future.

I do... I think it is bullshit to make money when affiliates send traffic with money they spent. If they used my name...

THAT IS MY NAME GOD DAMMIT... NOBODY SHOULD DO THAT TO ME...

I will withold money everytime if ANYBODY sends me traffic on sales that I would have never gotten otherwise...

JUST BECAUSE I KNOW EVENTUALLY THEY WILL BE MY SALES...

I am rev-share only. The definition of an affiliate is someone that has traffic that I don't have. I can earn (SEO) traffic, buy traffic, or sub-contract it. It all stacks up the same in the bank as long as I earn it honestly. Please send me sales any way you can. Thank you in advanced.

There are no restrictions for our program. We encourage our affiliates to use all legal and not spammy promotional tools!

For the few affiliates I have they are not allowed to go after PPC on the actual site name itself or a very close miss spelling of it. They can bid on the other primary keywords. They also may end up ranking SEO wise with the site name just because review sites and other instances just may happen.
This is explained in the TOS.

I just have no desire to bid on my own site name and have to end up paying more because others are bidding on it as well. Plus it would be a trademark violation and by trademark laws if I want to keep my trademark I must protect my trademark.
