Please list ANY bands as good as the aforementioned that have come along in, say, the last ten years, with more than 2 albums worth of awesome music.

I think I missed something 'cause I can't think of any.

I mean, I'm waaaay too young to be this old, ya know? Just seems there hasn't been a band that's come along where

A. The lead singer can actually sing, and hold a tune, and be IN tune, and have a unique, distinctive instantly-recognizable 'style'
2. There are actual - gasp! - (melodic) guitar solos & riffs that stick in your mind and you can't shake for days

As I said, maybe I missed something (or maybe I AM old....)

the music landscape has changed in 10 years. There will probably be mega bands here and there but people's taste in music has expanded. Maybe it's the kids these days dictating this trend by following lesser known bands, which is also cool and fashionable these days. I think things are better now than before
