Ortiz blames Jennas Oxycontin addiction for domestic dispute

LOS ANGELES (AP) ? Mixed martial arts star Tito Ortiz claims his ex-porn star girlfriend is addicted to Oxycontin, and he blames Jenna Jameson's drug use for his arrest Monday on suspicion of domestic violence.

Ortiz was arrested in Huntington Beach at the home he shares with Jameson and their twin sons. Several hours after posting bail, Ortiz and his attorney accused Jameson of drug addiction and claimed Ortiz never struck her.

"Jenna Jameson has been fighting an ugly battle with an addiction to Oxycontin for well over a year, and this morning, she had a relapse," attorney Chip Matthews said. "We're here because Tito was trying to help her. Tito Ortiz never laid a hand on Jenna."

Police Lt. Mike Reynolds said Ortiz was taken to the Huntington Beach jail and released after posting $25,000 bail. Reynolds said police can't make an arrest on suspicion of domestic violence unless there's a "visible injury," and the unnamed victim's injuries met that standard.

Matthews said Jameson has "a scratch on her elbow, and oftentimes when people are on Oxycontin, they don't have the best balance."

I know its policy to take someone to jail if this problem is worthy but i didnt think there was an actual law that mandated it. Also, not all domestic calls are violence related, so they take someone to jail for every call? Sounds like a scheme to make money more than protect someone LOL

Well, it seems Ortiz has doen the right thing by immediately going after her drug use, that will tarnish her credibility.

When the first post appeared yesterday I just had to chuckle when everyone popped off with their 2 cents about poor little Jenna, and even worse all the hack opinions about "violent roided up Tito". Anyone who has ever had to deal with Jenna Jameson before knows what an unstable fucking mess she is. Years ago we booked her to do signings at several of our adult bookstores and she showed up in no condition to be around the public, and she even tried to pick fights with several customers that wanted to take pictures with her. We had to cut everything short after 2 stores because she was too drugged up and combative to deal with. Like most legislation enacted in response to newspaper headlines (i.e. the OJ case), it ain't exactly the wisest law ever written.

It's my understanding that in most states an arrest is only made if there's evidence of a physical confrontation. Otherwise, the man is merely shown the door until such time as he, her, or both of them have sobered up.

Nothing the girl says necessarily needs to be true for the cops to take you away. If the cops leave and dont arrest anybody and in fact someone gets hurt or dies the police are fucked. Later the district attorney will look at the evidence collected then drop the charges. But you do go to jail 1st.




If the cops come, because the neighbors call, and you and your girl are holding hands and said that you had an argument and no violence has happened and you your girl tells the cops that we have never gotten physical and there is no fear of our minor argument escalating to violence, no body will go to jail.

We are talking about when one spouse calls the cops on the other. Generally it is because one or the other is afraid of what is going to happen if no one intervenes. The cops do not get called in to take sides or mediate. Generally they come in and someone goes to jail.(is that better?)






The trick is, if you know that the cops are coming, just leave. Come back at a later time with a witness if you need to get your shit and you will be fine. Assuming you didnt beat your girl.
