I don't know why are you that worried with Thesis. The designer you're looking for shouldn't be a master at Thesis, but a master at WordPress. Thesis is just a well done wireframe, but I assume you will want to push the boundaries, so you need a designer who knows his/her php and his/her JQuery and his/her WP, not his/her "Thesis". Thesis' hooks are not the same as used everywhere else.

Designing on Thesis is different than other Themes and WP itself.

If you only know 5, you should look harder ;) - edit: just noticed you said on gfy.

well, just trying to be helpful here, so again good luck

(and no, it isn't different, hooks are hooks, and even the dumbest coder in the world is able to replace WP hooks with Thesis hooks. I've made more than 30 Thesis themes and I'm totally dumb!)

Never said it was difficult, just that they're different hooks - and they are ;)

I don't care if you can design off it.

And again, the hooks on thesis are different than standard WP.

Looks like I'll stick with mainstream where the real designers are.

I agree there, its more for people who dont knmow how to mess with theme code. also own headway, wpunlimited, thesis, and reptile framework all are good, and do basically the same thing.

I could make a theme based on thesis or any other, but its easier for me to start from scratch for a custom theme.
