Should I let my gf go to Mardi Gras?

so here's the deal...my gf wants to go to mardi gras this year, next month. i say no way, she says she has every right to experience it. i have no reason not to trust her, but i think that environment is a recipe for disaster. am i being over zealous? we've been together for quite a long while...as i said she's been good to me so far, so forget it and swallow my pride?

Have you met the guys? Are THEY good guys? Are THEY trustworthy? If they don't seem like the type that'll fuck her behind your back, maybe THEY'LL even look out for her. i realize i have no physical control or power, but i can support if she goes or not.

and she did invite me, and wanted me to, and at first i hesitantly agreed and she was happy i was going.

my biggest concern is that she'll be blackout drunk, by accident, and someone would take advantage or someting else bad would happen. we all know not the best quality people go to mardi gras, point proven by all the shit we see online. thats what i've tried to get across to her
