I'm watching LA CONFIDENTIAL again and for the first time I notice when Bud White walks into a bar to find out about his ex partner being shot there's the DOG AND CAT HOSPITAL across the street.

Can anyone from LA tell me if this would have been around in that ERA? I didn't move here until 1992

And that's West Hollywood or West LA? I brought my cat to some pink building in West Hollywood but I don't think that was the place and it was a long time ago. I know it's famous. I was putting my cat down so I try to repress the memory.
