Still too early. Now, if it's the last 12 months of his term and he still has the same numbers, then he'd probably be a one termer. Still too early to tell.

I voted no. I think the chance of a second term is low.

2 terms in a row could happen for a President, but it's a rare occurrence usually.

I voted yes, however I think that is still way too early to know for sure. 2 years in politics is a lifetime. The reason I voted that he will be re-elected is that it is pretty hard to beat an incumbent president and right now there is no clear cut republican on the horizon that seems to be uniting their party and really turning head. That may change, but right now it is all the same contenders as last time and none of them are really that exciting. Add in that many people think Obama will have nearly a billion dollars to spend on his campaign and it makes it an uphill battle for the republicans.

Actually, it's not. Of the 43 presidents of the United States (not counting Obama who is #44), 27 have served more than one term in office. There have been 19 presidents who were elected to more than one term in office. The other 8 served out the term of a president who died in office and were re-elected for a second term.

Not to mention that one of the big republican agendas is getting rid of the healthcare bill. It will be hard for Mitt to run on a platform where he is against the bill when he brought his state universal healthcare while governor there.

Obama has been a shitty leader but he would be a good PR man for a company. He is good at campaigning but not very good at leading/managing. He sucks ass as a president.

Rare? It's anything but.

2 terms in a row has happened for:

2 of the last 2 presidents
3 of the last 4 presidents
4 of the last 7 presidents

In modern American history, two terms are actually more common than they have ever been in, for example, the first 200 years of the United States. Prior to F.D.R., it was perhaps a bit less common, but it certainly has happened throughout our history.

Depends on who the republican nominee is. Even if his numbers are shit there's no way he's losing to Palin. A middle of the road republican might be able to win if Obama's numbers are bad but the GOP won't nominate someone like that.

Do you honestly think Palin has any chance in hell even getting close to a nomination? I'd bet Ron Paul would get more write in's than Palin would get votes.

Actually, I think she has a decent chance of getting the nomination.

Here is how it could happen.

Many of the early primaries are in bible belt and very red states. These are states that she could do well it. If she spends the time and money to really hit those states hard and can win them right out the gate she could jump out to a quick lead. These wins will give her a ton of exposure and help her raise money. She then moves on from there with that momentum. If she can win or come in a close second in the next few primaries this could cause enough damage to some of the more moderate candidates and cause some of them to drop out. If she gets it down to just her and a couple other candidates and those other candidates are more moderate she could capitalize on the the christian right and tea party votes and it could help carry her.

It probably wouldn't happen. It would be kind of a long shot and there is no guarantee that she will even run. If she thought she was treated harshly when she ran with McCain, wait until she sees how badly her fellow republicans start to tear her apart especially if she starts to pose a threat.\

Part of why many in the republican party don't like her is because she is so far to the right that the base loves her and because of that she could pose a threat to them in the primaries.

Jokes are still made about Ron Paul, but I guarantee you this guy would always tell the truth. Something sorely needed in politics and we haven't had since Truman. I will vote for any 3rd party candidate because the troubles we have now and the bigger ones on the horizon are 100% due to the duplicity to fuck the average joe in America by Washington. Democrats- Republicans same evil culture... they use semantics to pit Americans against eachother while they mortgage the future and fuck everyone along the way. I laugh at democrats who cry Haliburton... they support the status quo.

If you are still believe in the "right" "left" "republican" "democrat" mindset your thinking is wrong! Look beyond what Washington says and concentrate on what they actually do. It doesn't take a Rhodes scholar to understand you can only spend more than you take in for so long. The time to pay the bill is coming due as the fat cat baby boomers develop osteoporosis yet haven't lost the taste for "THE GOOD LIFE". Get a hip replacement so you can still drive your vette to the country club.

It will never be too late for the US to make a comeback, but the longer we continue the insanity the longer it will take to work through the cluster fuck the boomers have perpetrated on the following 3-4 generations. The WWII generation may go down as one of he greatest in history... but their offspring maybe responsible for nullifying the effects of their tremendous sacrifices and putting the death -nail into the US global position.

Whether right or wrong, Bush tried to fix the world. (Afghanistan,Iraq,Iran,N Korea)

Whether right or wrong, Obama tried to fix America.(Health care,cash/clunkers,stimuls,bailout)

Both spent a lot of money.

The possibility that many people will realize this and get off the "hater train" may
give Obama a second term. Because we can't "fix" the world.

Many countries are in financial problems. The banking crisis exposed them. The reasons are simple.

The country imports more than it exports.

Governments spends more than they take in.

They borrow money to fill the gap.

The days of spend now pay later are over. Unless you're China.

Obama is just not a leader, he's a good person to run for office, but not to run the office.

Health care bill costs too much, right now Obama is asking the GOP to sign the bill to aid medicare

Cash for clunkers helped alot, if you're a Japanese car company.

Japan tried the stimulus thing ten times, it almost ruined their economy, so why did we do it? It hasn't helped, it's too hard for small business's to get loans

Bailout of the car companies and banks, yeah, there's another fail, GM said they paid off the loans, but the government still owns a big chunk of the company, just like the government owns a big chunk of Fanny and Freddy Mac.

Then there's the Oil spill, two months in and the president might actually have the time to meet with the CEO of BP. Obama said the delay was a corporate thing.

Then there is all the promises he hasn't kept, Now the ACLU is against him, but on a good note, the whalers love him for breaking his promise.

He's a racist, remember beer summit? His diplomatic skills are shit, showing complete disrespect for Israel has left them is a sour state.

The debt has risen faster than under any other president and he's only in how many months?

I'm sorry, but Obama is going to go down in history as one major fucking disappointment

By the end of his term Obama will have brought the US debt to MORE than ALL the countries in the world combined. Wrap your noggin around that one.

He and his clan have taken a beaten a bruised country, stuck a gun to her head and is about to pull the trigger.

Obama is going to go down as one of the worst mistakes in the history of presidents. He was and always will be hype. Nothing more.

By the time Obama is finished, Bush will look like a hero and they will welcome Jeb Bush in with open arms.

And Bush's damage wasn't? I haven't seen any repeal of the Patriot Act. The lax regulations he provided for BP is why the Gulf of Mexico is being killed as we speak. He put us into two long term wars with no end in sight. The creation of the TSA. Mission Accomplished. Everyone go shopping. Any of this ring a bell?

Obama is going to go down as one of the worst mistakes in the history of presidents. He was and always will be hype. Nothing more.

By the time Obama is finished, Bush will look like a hero and they will welcome Jeb Bush in with open arms.
You are fucking retarded. You DO realize the other option was McCain/Palin you douchebag. If you think America would be better with them then please insert gun into your mouth and pull the trigger. You are too stupid to be allowed to take everyone else's oxygen.

Name the person who has a chance in hell of beating him.

Everything sucks right now, but I don't buy the "Blame-Obama" logic for our current conditions.

Are you suggesting conditions were great when he started his term?

Are you suggesting McCain/Palin would have been a better answer?!

I don't remember any Republican solutions coming up for ANYTHING so far - just their interest in hoping Obama fails, so they can come back in.

Come back in to do what?....

You should consider that half the country (Republicans) have been feeding you every
negative angle they can.

They do this because they believe it will make people forget about the mess that
Obama inherited from Bush. It seems to have worked on you.

Think hard about the reality of what America is. Now think that a Black president was elected.

Now think.....How much did a White man have to fuck up to make this happen.

I mean, get fucking real.

Anyone who thinks Obama was elected by Blacks is on some serious fucking hard drug.

Obama had a lot more the 12% of the vote, which is the totality of the African America population.

Where did the other 40+% of votes come from??????????????????????????????
