Both officers lost their jobs over this, one quit, the other fired. Other cops have looked at all the facts and have judged them guilty of wrong-doing.

Thus the woman obviously has grounds, she should sue both officers and the police department.

I've seen enough to know that this is an abuse of power from the police. The second cop to the scene walks out of his car with the taser in his hand ready to go. He had ever intention of using it before he even saw her. Even worse she's on the floor already when he's using it. It also sounds like he's using it as he's yelling at her to get into the car. I don't know how easy it is to pick yourself up off the ground and move into the back seat of a car while being tased.

From my understanding she grabbed the purse well before she got tased. It sounds like it happened when she was just speaking to the older cop. She was chased down and pepper sprayed for that. It's still not justification for getting the taser.

Don't give me "what ifs" when we know what happened. Was there a weapon in the police report? Does it look like the partner is in danger at the time she gets tased? He's leaning over her while she's on the ground. If she had reached for a gun then sure they could have shot her first but there better be a gun in the evidence locker.
