Arylia/gallery scraper experts, inside please
We can't get in touch with the coder of Arylia, and this is something Arock can't help with:
The trouble is with galleries which have content linked from another server --> Arylia seems to be unable to fetch this kind of content.. For example: http://galleries.pimproll.com/d/cck/...rc=gall eries Link to content is: http://99.192.139.194/new2min/9607_4_4_CCK.mp4 We can't get this get resolved for months, bought GalleryDaemon meanwhile, but my guy can't make it work so far [i hired a lame geek? :P] I can't believe this can be a problem for the script... I mean the content is linked properly. why does it matter where it has to be downloaded from?!? Thanks for your kind help in advance. Peace Matyko

Hi,
You mean you can scrape this exact gallery? If yes, may I ask your arylia version and php specs of your server? however i think i use latest version of both...

First, I apologize for being so difficult to get in touch with! The best way to make sure I see your issue is to use the contact form on our website. I don't see any e-mails about this that were submitted through the contact form; did you use that? If so, I may need to check my spam filter settings...
About your issue: I tried to rip the gallery you posted, and it didn't work for me either. Turns out the problem (for me) was that Arylia wasn't recognizing the .mp4 file extension as a video that it should be ripping. I've fixed this issue and released version 3.1.2 which does successfully rip that gallery in my testing environment. If you are still having a problem with that gallery after updating to 3.1.2, then there may be a problem with your server configuration which we can diagnose further. In that case please use our contact form and I'll help you get it resolved. Edit: didn't realize this thread was 4 weeks old. I apologize for the thread necro. |

Hmm... Can you describe precisely what this feature would do? I'm having trouble visualizing a feature that seems like it'd be widely useful and which isn't best accomplished by an external script.

To be honest I never used the contact form, me and my emloyee were tlking to AROCK all the time and when he was clueless about this, he gave us your ICQ. Will ask my MojoHost to help me with the upgrade right now! Thanks again, You Rock! ;)
