What system do you use for automated backups?
There is soo much stuff out there. I am looking for some recommendations.
I want to do regular backups of my PC to an external HD, possibly only replacing files that have been added, deleted or modified. recommendations appreciated ![]() |

SuperDuper, if you're on a Mac.

IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, but I wouldn't recommend it to a normal single user :|

Acronis is the best tool I've used. I've restored complete systems in 10 minutes.

Acronis True Image for backup software.
I use a ReadyNAS 4tb Raid. It makes no sense to back up to single drive. A RAID gives you protection against a failed drive.

I used a RAID system until a drive actually failed once, and took 3 days to restore. Fuck that noise.

The "working" copy of my data is stored on a NAS (with RAID) plus I have two sets of backup disks, one stored offsite. |
