I am sorry for your loss Shelly. I have had a relative die suddenly and without warning. It is still hard to imagine he is really dead even after several years.

Sorry to hear about the loss of a good friend Shelly.

I lost 2 good friends also a lil over 2 weeks ago within 36hrs of each other. 1 in a motorcycle accident. I saw him about 35 minutes before he went down and all he could talk that night about was how good life was going for him and his wife (Just purchased a new house and horse farm in Nor Cal) and then the next afternoon another life long friend laid down for a nap and never woke up. He did have health and breathing issues that were known.

I don't think it ever gets easier loosing a friend and I've lost a lot of them over the years. I just try my best to remember the good times, the laughs we shared and the punches we threw together.

My sympathies are with you and I am so sorry for your loss and I understand more than you might think. I am presently out of my mind as a Good Bud, a retired Kansas City, Kansas firefighter who beat cancer twice was yesterday felled by a major heart attack. He is like one of my Dad's best freinds and is in intensive care at KU Medical Center in critical condition.

He is also like a very close uncle or maybe even a big brother. He was often there when Dad could not be and has been a major influence on my life.

Death and illness comes to us all but it is never like in the movies.

You hang in there as I shall and we'll both come out of it and maybe wish the best for my Bud.

My sister in law was killed in a car crash last wednesday on her way back home to TN from IN and the showing was today. We are completely devestated and just so thankful we had dinner and drinks the night before with her.

She did not deserve this as she was as good of a person as one can be and only 22 years old. Just graduated from a Christian college and was going to be a Christian family counselor and just an overall fantastic human being, sister, daughter, etc.

Well over 2000 people showed up to her showing today including the president of her school and a couple hundred classmates all driving up from Tennessee. Really hard times right now. Worst part of it all was she was up here for her grandpas funeral so her dad/my wifes dad have now lost his daughter and father all in a weeks time. So not right.

I'll be thinking of you aswell as you go through the healing process. Some things just dont seem fair.

RIP Shelly.

edit* Oh and my step father in laws brother flew in today for the showing and stepped off the plane only to check his messages and find out his son had a massive heart attacked and died last night. FFS when will it end?

They say you can get a pretty good idea what someone was like, even if you never knew them, by the quality of their friends. Sounds like he was a cool guy and one with a great sense of humor too.

Just an update- crushed Tim's car a few days ago:

It may seem strange to some, but it's really what he would have wanted and I think it was really cool of his dad to go along with it. Tim customized and built that car from the ground up, raced and competed with it frequently and would rather take it apart and put it in a dumpster then allow some "punk kid" to drive it.

Anyways... It's been over 3 months and still no report from the ME's office and still no official cause of death.

Just having a down night. Thought I would post an update but primarity I wanted to post this video. I don't know if it will work for everyone, but when I start to get depressed it kinda snaps me out of it and reminds me how silly and emo I'm being. No one I've lost who loved me would want to see me this way.
