I have traveled by car and bike fairly extensively in the past few years and I have to say that I have never seen the amount of obvious displeasure with the current administration ever. And it is all over the country.

Actually, his deficit makes Bush look like a cheapskate in comparison. His grasp of economics is even less than Bush, and I didn't that was possible. He's fucked up this country more than anyone ever imagined. To be "cleaning up Bush's mess", you have to make an iota of progress, not do worse than Bush.

i have to disagree here and point out that although i think the spending should have been more controlled, this failed economy is the work of several presidents...

i think this administration did what they thought was right or what the big bankers wanted..

You need to recheck your numbers and get a new set of facts to read... it's not even in question that Bush created the deficit we have and Obama himself only added a tiny fraction in comparison. It was Bush that hid the war spending and Obama that corrected it. The rest of your spew is normal crap opinions from you that have no leg to stand on.

i think what most people miss is that somewhere around $15 trillion, the entire taxable input doesnt even cover the interest on the debt....

if the US govt tried to get a home loan, they would get laughed out the door for too high dti ratio....

The correction in the war costs being added to the budget and deficit is what added to the 2009 costs and is now what is projected into future budget. He didn't create this error, someone else did. He isn't hiding it, like someone else did. This is what 8 years of lies created for our Country's future.

Bush did 1.3 - 1.4 trillion in bailouts/stimulus, straight up - zero money back. Obama's stimulus was 700 billion to be used over 4 years. As the article states, Obama has only spent $37 billion of the 700 billion bailout. And as we know, some money has come back.

As I stated, Obama himself only added a tiny fraction in comparison.

I think that it really depends on who the Republicans can put up against him. In the current climate the only way one will be able to get the nomination is if they pander to the tea party and by doing that they will be moving to a too extreme point which will not appeal to the overall electorate.

So unless the Republicans can start to move more towards the middle I think they do not have a chance at the White House in 2012

In the current climate the only way one will be able to get the nomination is if they pander to the tea party and by doing that they will be moving to a too extreme point which will not appeal to the overall electorate. So unless the Republicans can start to move more towards the middle I think they do not have a chance at the White House in 2012
