Can you imagine the amount of emails and ICQ's he was trying to reply back to, not to mention the paperwork and IDs people were submitting. I would love to see you in his situation and see just how well you would handle it. I got an reply back from my emails which I sent him within 24 hours. The guy was taking the full brunt of a lot of the stupidity of people on this board, he deserves more than a medal in my books

you can say the same for almost every company that shit the bed..most don't it on purpose, but some funds vanished, that's a fact and alot of folks won't get them back

Just trying to get a handle.. I still have to think that Mr Mallick is worth way more personally than say 50 mil.

I really do not think Mr Mallick is somehow stealing this money.

So that means it is just a new Visa Regulations thing. The system is "deficient" somehow. That explains why mostly only those outside the US are getting accounts locked with paperwork needed.

If you are in the US, they have your SSN so you are already in line for the new regs.

So lets hope it is indeed regs.

If you remove all the innuendo and comments it points mostly to being a Visa initiated thing. That doesnt mean Mr Mallick isnt responsible for the proper mgmt to have avoided this but, I dont think his intent is to crash epass for the money in the VV and Wallet.

But next week will tell. Wires take time. And they did not get them sent out right away. Which is understandable.

They should mostly all arrive next 10 days, that is my call.

But I have already moved all my main sponsors on to new payment methods. That is what might really hurt them. I would still use them to send money if needed but I actually prefer my new incoming payment methods. I switched several to ACH. Way better.

I am out only a few hundred so I don't give a fuck... I never kept much in epass to begin with. I always moved it as fast as it came in.. Anyone who would leave large sums of money in an online ONLY account is just stupid... I can walk to my bank anytime and put money in or take money out..

I have compassion for Michael O. At the end of the day he is an employee trying to do the best job he can for his company, trying to put out fires and defend the brand. He's going down with the ship without selling out his employer and many people find that level of loyalty and dedication to be admirable qualities.

Whatever did go down with Epassporte, I doubt it was something that came across his desk that sparked it. I think more than likely he probably believed as he was told, as the rest of us did, that we would be given some answers in Thursday's statement. Anyone who read that could tell it was hastily crafted, more than likely not penned by Michael O and if I had to guess probably the result of some quick manuvering at the behest of the company's lawyers.

Paying back the larger sponsors is good PR, it does build confidence in everyone to read that large dollar amounts are going out and being recieved- but in the end it will be how they treat webmasters, big and small, that will determine if epass can survive this.

Really what it comes down to is the satisfaction of the webmaster community. If webmasters no longer trust epassporte sponsors will stop funding their epassporte accounts. If you had 10 people that were supportive and 10 people that were real assholes. Who would you pay first? Might want to consider that before making your next post.

To those of you that think MiddleMen caused this. Are you kidding? Do you know how hollywood works? That movie started 3 years ago. He had all the money put aside in escrow back then. You think the big name stars he had would show up for a nobody if the money wasn?t guaranteed? Come on. The timing is ironic but that?s all it is.

All in all I think this is a step in the right direction. I?ve done a lot of research this week. I?ve made a lot of phone calls. There has been a lot of information posted that really makes the situation look bad. I?ll be honest I?ve been worried. But for every bad thing I?ve seen posted I?ve heard a good thing from people with some REAL knowledge of what?s going on. Obviously nobody is saying it publically because if it turns out to not be true the mob will turn their attention towards them. Have you read the posts on here this week? There are some great posts and some intelligent people HOWEVER for every great post there are 10 retarded ones. Our industry is under enough stress as it is. We don?t need any more.

Give the man time. If the wires went out today it?s a huge step and shows Epassporte is far from dead. Supporting them gives us a better shot of getting paid than attacking them.

Wires take time. And they did not get them sent out right away. Which is understandable. They should mostly all arrive next 10 days, that is my call. But I have already moved all my main sponsors on to new payment methods. That is what might really hurt them. I would still use them to send money if needed but I actually prefer my new incoming payment methods. I switched several to ACH. Way better. Last edited by Vjo; 09-11-2010 at 05:30 PM..
