Moniker's support has gone to complete shit.

I have a few accounts auto-created by snapnames and on one of them I can't access the account even though I'm using the password from their original email (I never changed it because I simply push won auction domains into my main Moniker account).

So I go to the forgotten password page and it sends me a reset link to my email, great. Well, the security questions/answers I never setup as these accounts were auto-created by snapnames, so I don't have the answers.

"The requested login information has been sent to the email address on record.

Please check your email and proceed to the Login Account page

If you need further assistance please send an to email Customer Support at [email protected] "

So I send an email to that email address and get one back:

"IMPORTANT: THIS E-MAIL BOX IS NO LONGER BEING MANNED BY MONIKER SUPPORT
STAFF."

"To better serve your needs, Moniker has recently started a new client
support process. Please log into your account
<BLOCKED::http://support.moniker.com/> and follow the customer support
links to log your inquiry into the new system."

Well, if you can't log into your fucking account, you can't send them a fucking support ticket.

Have you ever tried to transfer a domain away from Moniker? It's nearly impossible from my experience.

They don't allow any way to speed up the transfer, which is uber gay, but otherwise I've never had a problem getting domains out of Moniker, even in some cases after exp.

Justin, ICQ Bari (241012785) - she's good people and should be able to help you.

I'm not a HUGE fan of Moniker and prefer Fabulous, but my issues with Moniker are less on the registrar side and more on past experiences with their live auctions. I've never had much issue with them as a registrar.

Anybody else here getting billed by Moniker for services on domains they no longer own?

What kind of a system continues to bill for service on domains after you let them expire?

Bari and I don't get along anymore.

I have contact information for an Oversee executive and he resolved for this for me, more or less just venting. It boggles my mind they have that old [email protected] email still splattered through out their site even though they no longer use it.

You are not the only one. I had to do the same thing and had my rep changed to Don Lyons. I've had no MAJOR issues since then.

Their system is charging me for services on old domains I let expire. Apparently I need to manually deactivate ALL services when I intend to let a domain expire because their system is not capable of knowing I no longer own the domains. WTF kind of B.S. is that?

If I cancel a credit card I do not expect to continue paying for any added services that the card once had. Unlike banks, Moniker has no Federal regulations that keep them honest. It's my opinion that they intentionally continue billing for these services as another way to generate revenues knowing that most people will either not catch it right away or even at all. Kinda like a number of adult companies we all know.

It?s because sub products are separate entities and treated/billed as such. I?m glad Don Lyons takes good care of you.

You're exactly right. That means Moniker is fully aware and intentionally billing people for services that Moniker knows they are no longer providing.

Sounds legit to me. LOL

Since we are adding sarcasm to the mix....I'm glad you still have people fooled that you're a good rep.

The one thing that unattractive fat people like myself have going for us is that we can rest assured knowing that we are not hired simply for our looks.

Moniker's support went completely south two years ago when they cut back on payroll and did away with most of their support staff. At least gfyers get some help because moniker watches this board, but some on other boards go through hell not being able to get any help for weeks at a time.

Aaron...

The more you post, the more apparent it becomes how clueless you truly are. Who do you think you are speaking to people like this? Bari goes out of her way to help every client as if she were the owner of the company. Who speaks to a woman this way? Grow the fuck up already.

It doesn't appear she went very far with Aaron, she was clearly aware of his issue and never got it resolved.
