I think they will issue a statement about verification and withdrawal process some time in the morning their time (their time is same as East Coast, USA).

If they haven't made a release by 10am then people should telephone them have their virtual visa card and electron card numbers to hand and ASK them directly, how do I get my money?

Not to sure about that. The card has my name on it and it clearly says use of it constitutes you agree to THEIR t&c. And the card is their property. So the funds on them must be in their bank.
Epassporte is merely mentioned as the custumor support contact and a co-branding agreement.

I called

Yes i called , this is what i was told :

They said the technicians are working on restoring the system so we can access our funds . It should be before or on the 30th of Sept that we can access them. They said keep checking the bank's website
They will post information on what is gonna be needed and how to access the funds, what IDs, etc.
So it looks like by the 30th we will be able to access the funds through St. Kitts.

if anyone can confirm?

OMG. The "press room" of the SKNA bank was last updated in 2006. So much for getting a press statement from them...

EDIT: Actually, as candyx said, activating the VISA would be the best option for them to give people access to their money again.

Not much, but i am guessing since the ball is in their court they should try to do things right. Before it was all hush hush,they didnt wanna make statements, but now we know we have to deal directly with them and not epass so hopefully they will communicate better

The operator told me that she doesn't have a lot of information about the visa cards balance not showing up, as well as that they are "working" on it to have it solved. They also said that the Upper management is on the meeting right now and that they are working on a "strategy" to get our money back.

They said to follow their site as they will be posting information there. On my mention of a lawyer she said: "You don't need to contact lawyer, this will be solved". I give them couple of hours to release information on either their website or via epass. Then I am going legal way....

I have just spoken to them too and this is what I have been told

They are working on getting the funds back to people by the 30th of October

They wouldent tell me why it was suspended

I asked how we would be getting our money back to which she replied

Some people will be able to use thier cards again and some will get their money by other means.

She also said that we willl be kept informed of the situation via thier website

Yeah as soon as I mentioned epass they put me through to somebody different and looking at their press releases on their websites the last one was Nov 14 2006

It almost sounded as if they had washed thier hands of epass or did not want to comunicate with them any more

I just called. The customer service rep told me "Epassporte has been closed" and they are working to get everyone's funds to them by the 30th. To verify I asked "so Epassporte is being closed?" and she replied "no sir, Epassporte has already been closed".

She assured me that our funds are safe and we will be able to access them by the 30th. She said some people will get wires and others will have their Visa cards turned back on.

I actually think there's more chance people will get their money from VV that's in an actual bank then what was in the wallet, that seems to be stored in epass personal bank. I believe that money is GONE.

Well, sorry to say folks, but I have been living in the Caribbean for awhile now and if the Dominican Republic is any kind of a benchmark

"We are working on it and you will be notified" means,

"We don't have a fucking clue and don't give a shit, but will say whatever is necessary to end this phone conversation so we can get back to playing solitaire on our 233 MHZ Pentium II's."

In my experience Caribbean banks will use any reasonable excuse to keep your money.

1.) they are not saying what happened or why
2.) they are saying "your money is safe"
3.) they are saying " We'll make statement and give more information on the 30th of Sept."

Those seem to be common answers to telephone calls.
