Of course if it's a small niche you really have to understand it. A general niche is easier, for instance I'm more into Penthouse than Barely Legal and seemed to have done well shooting teens .

But you still need to understand a major niche. I see so much shot by people who are clueless about what the niche is, even the big ones, it's clear they just point and hope for the best. Even copying others is hit and miss if you don't know what to copy. Then it's just another cloned scene like 1,000 others.

If the broker refuses to negotiate go straight to the site owner. Tell them you are interested but want a better price and if month 1 works well you'll commit for 3 months up front. Something like that. These guys want $$$. Use that to your advantage.

Tube videos. I think a lot of your stuff is real amateur content right? I'm sure a lot of tubes would love to have you listed on it and would do it as an affiliate. If not look for the ones that have amateur content and try to get listed there or buy a spot there.

Remember anytime you are unsure you can ask for a non refundable 3,5 or 7 day test. Unless someone is sold out the only time they'll deny you a test is if their traffic is shit. We've bought traffic that was 10% of what was advertised and did nothing for us.
Thanks Shap!

When it comes to the tubes I've got that pretty well covered. LOL The thing is I HATE being "beholden" to outside traffic sources so my #1 Priority for 2011 (and sooner) is creating my own traffic sources. but what you suggest is definitely something for me to concentrate on!

Thanks man!

First of all congrats for the 9 years man and also for this thread. Great to see someone that really knows sharing knowledge like this.Respect.

Twistys.com has been an icon for me, even tried to copy it once in the past(didnt work of course lol).

Always wondered if you track the clickthrough of the profiles in the homepage and rotate them accordingly. If yes, how often? Daily or?

Again respect for the site.

Congrats on 9 years!! Excellent thread, so nice to see a business thread once in a while.

Our site, ThaiChix.com also started out way back, about 13 years ago and is still up and running and doing great. It was me and my hubby back then and still is with a bit of hired help when needed.

My question is, do you ever regret taking the step to hire a bunch of people?? Are you ever looking back to the days when it was only you and your wife and thinking that those where the good times?

What do you mean in change? Conversions? type of join chosen? Rebill length? Not sure exactly what you are referring to. Let me know and I'll answer

We looked long and hard at TheRealMe. At the end of the day we would have been buying it for the domain and site idea. The content was filmed 100% with the tour in mind but nothing for the members. If I could have made it worthwhile on the content alone I would have done it. The problem is there were too many promo shoots. Girls holding up a board etc. That killed the deal when I saw the content.

I was a huge fan of the idea. I think it is a great idea. Unfortunately it never took off. I think it needed to be packaged with a site like Twistys for it to take off. The cost of running a site like that is really high and you getting it going is really tough. You are immediately judged by how much content you have. And when a site like Twistys has so much more content of each model you are done. It would have been a nice addition. At the end of the day it would have been cheaper and wiser to simply start the idea ourselves.

Hi Sue! Thanks. Congrats on 13 years of Thai Chix. Nice site. Great looking girls. Well done!!! Btw let me know if you'd like us to give you a push on our free sites. It would be mostly tube traffic but if you'd like to give it a try let me know. Your content looks great and I'd love to give it a shot.

I often look back and think man those were the days. The people that work at the office have no idea. We'd work all night long then at 7am icq each other and say hey hungry or tired? LOL We'd either go out for breakfast or go to bed. LOL Man we worked so hard. I remember when we first moved to the Bahamas we worked in the attic and there was no A/C. It must have been 95 degrees up there. I miss those days but we couldn't do that now. Nowadays programming has become such a huge part of the entire process we wouldn't be able to hack it. The things that are possible now weren't back then and being able to really juice your traffic and stay competitive requires being able to make knowledgeable decisions. Just looking at one example. Web traffic vs Mobile Traffic. Two entirely different sources of traffic. Same site but needs two different interfaces and needs to be managed and monetized differently. The competition is so fierce and there is so much opportunity that doing it just us would be next to impossible.

We don't do that. It's been on our list of things to do. I hope we get to it soon I believe it's key.

Yeah. It's been a question of timing and personnel. There have been a few times we've made a move to do it and shit hit the fan so we pulled back. And other times we weren't properly man powered to manage it. We don't like to do anything half assed especially when it comes to our members. So we held off.

Hey Shap,

As you've heard a Million times, Congrats on your 9 years. That is a long time to grow and sustain in this business. I haven't had the pleasure of working for your company as of yet but maybe that will change in your 10th year. I've only been in a short time (3 years) and I've had my official website for the past 2 years. (Kellydivine.com).

To reiterate this is a huge thread for the "small guy". Getting inside from those who have "made it. You never see the owners of brazzers, bang bros, RK, Naughty America, etc on here giving up "trade secrets" on how to become successful in our field.

As Barbi lightly touched on, your speaking more of a Multi-girl Model site and for myself which is a Solo Model format I would really like to hear what you think would be the best way to grow and keep growing will working with limited budget and minimal staff.

Im 2 years in the business with my site and I do well. Its just myself and my partner pounding the pavement making our mistakes and trying to learn from them.

Organic traffic is always great but what do you think its worth it to go through the process of building and populating your own Blogs, TGP's to get niche traffic for a 2 man staff with limited resources? Buying traffic is always and option but its a crap shoot so how do I maximize on the traffic that I buy? How do I know if my tour needs improving verses me not having enough traffic coming through to triple, quadruple my sales? Would adding niche sites as part of my program be a help or hindrance to the success of my site/brand? How much time should I spend and how often should I do gallery submissions? How do I know what sites are "worth" Submitting to?

I'd appreciate your feedback.

Kelly Divine
