Fair comment mate, for my part all I can say is that both our pregnancies were accidents, despite the 50/50 chance of inheritance abortion wasnt an option as, when it comes to disabilities, mine is not the worse, particularly when considering the first 25 years or so, its a gradual process and dosnt really affect you badly until after 25. Any affects up to that age dont inhibit a normal social developement which is important. Really though mate and the end of the day all any of us do is pay our money and take our chances.

Yes I take your point, I have been considering providing a service whereby providers outsource their helpdesk outside of northern hemisphere business hours by taking advantage of the time difference and our exchange rate compared to euro and usd, still considering business model but given that I am (almost) housebound there could be an opportunity, any thoughts or advice gratefully received.

I quit high school at 17 and joined the Navy, and was able to visit most of Asia by the time I was 21. Then I spent 6 years in college. I finally made it to France about a decade later on my own dime.

If nothing else, your daughter will learn an important life lesson, and then continue fundraising and saving, so that maybe she can go to France as a graduation present to herself before going to college, or visit after college or when she raises the funds. BTW, most colleges have exchange programs too.

My best suggestion is for you to appeal to whatever communities you are most actively involved with (school, work, church, etc).
