Has the King been dethroned?

I never thought traffic was king. For me it was conversions that counted. Those who could convert more per 1,000 surfers would always win over those who couldn't. You can have a shop on the best street in the world, doesn't mean you will sell anything. You can have a shop on a street in Bombay with 10,000s of people walking past it every day, doesn't mean you will sell anything.

Did we worship a false king, did we elevate traffic to above it's station? Yes in the early day it seemed anything would sell. That didn't last long and a lot didn't adapt to the changes and even with traffic their sales never kept pace.

Today the problem isn't getting traffic, it's getting enough traffic to sell them something and the better the product, the more it will sell, attract traffic and produce revenue. Was that so different in the past?

So what was king. Traffic, Conversions or Profit?

Whatever is your stance, the exact opposite is probably true.

Ultimately customers have to buy something at a price which covers the cost and leaves a profit for the seller. The best profit is always the winner.

No affiliate will send traffic to a site that doesn't make him a better profit per 1,000 surfers than other sites. Unless he's a fool.

Sponsors getting the most traffic will therefore be the ones converting and profiting best. So able to spend more on the affiliates and traffic.

Traffic is important, we just should never get carried away thinking it's king. Unless all we can do is drive traffic without thinking of where it's going. Today we see huge amounts of traffic consuming porn and ratios have never been so bad. Sites getting millions of surfers a day, with perhaps less than 1-10,000 buying. Surfers not clicks. Look at the price of Tube traffic, $4-5 per 1,000 clicks, maybe 1-10 clicking. That's 10,000 surfers = $4-5 3,000 surfers to get a $30 sale? 30,000 = $30

Play with the numbers until your blue in the face, the principal is the same. The value of traffic is slipping. If it is king, it's a broken bankrupt one.

Where is the smart money going? https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=1083009

Where do smart affiliates send their traffic? To sites that convert.

candyflip will tell us that's not true and he sends his traffic to sites that convert the worse.

All I care about is costs. It's that simple. Who cares what your ratios are if you're making a profit?

So you will send traffic to a site where you earn less for the same effort. We've got that clear now.

I do however have a better way to do it. Care about the ratio between hours works/cost and proift made.

you think way to much into stuff and compare shit that doesn't matter.
You are talking about different traffic and different sites. The question does not even make sense. What is king? LOL well at the end of the day I would like to have made the most money. All these questions are just ways for you to talk about yourself and how great your content is one way or another. People can have their 1:50 ratio sites or their 3 million tube traffic hits a day LOL while I stand in line making a deposit is what matters. Even you would agree to that so what is the point?

Yes making money is king. I think I said that.

I don't think I mentioned my content. Good to see you shoot now more like we did.

Yes and read this.

"I've been telling you traffic isn't king. And getting it is the easiest job in porn"

Roald has tons of it. He will sell you some if you ask, he has that much. What he needs is more sales from his traffic.

And that's the problem, getting people to buy porn when so much is free, so much isn't worth buying and so many surfers know this.

Fabian will tell us he has 20 million or more very day going to his site Pornhub. What he won't tell us is how many buy anything. For fear we might laugh or cry at how bad it is these days. Like Roald, Manwin will also sell you traffic. See how easy it is to get some?

They will then tell you it's crap traffic and good traffic is people who buy something. Which is the upside down logic of traffic jockeys. Which is them saying sales are king and the only way they can get more sales is to give away more free porn.

Thats correct, think last month we sold 1 spot. 1 fucking spot and just cause we know the guy who asked. Unlike a lot of others we don't sell actively or to whoever wants to have it. I put offers down weekly just because the product is crap. Weekly big number offers (yes big) for pop unders and I reject them. Yay yes we sell our traffic cause its worthless!!!! Please buy it!!!

Stop talking about things you have no clue about Paul. We reject offers cause we can still convert a lot of traffic into €€€

See sig.

So traffic is that easy to get.

So where do you think the the money to pay for traffic comes from?

Stop talking like traffic is hard to get, you have so much you sell it. Pity you can't open sites and convert it yourself.

By the way, what's the price on your traffic, by the method it's delivered. Well by the advert it's delivered.

So no answer.

All money coming into online porn comes by sign ups. The sites that get the most sign ups per 1,000 are those with the best content. Which is why those who can still afford it are shooting better porn. Traffic is merely people passing a shop window, if they look at the tour it's like they are walking around the shop. AND no one has made any money.

Until the browser turns into a customer there is no money.

In porn keeping them 2 months or longer depends 100% on the product. you can sell your product based on it's value when a surfer spends money.

Which is why you can't discuss this further. Without relying on trite sound bites that are proven not to work.

Sorry if it was over your head.

https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=1083891 This will help.

Go load more content on Freeones, to keep the surfers you have and replace a few of the losses to sites with more free content. So you can sell some of the traffic to sites with content to sell.

Sorry if I disturbed you from loading more content on your site.

Ah ok so you were talking more nonsense, thought I read it wrong the first time.

Perhaps we should start looking into this traffic selling thing instead of collecting pennies like we do now. thanks for the tip, much appreciated.

He got his own forum section, without us it would be dead and he would argue with himself all the time. Less fun and not fair to GFY who provided us with this fun section

No don't do that, you will come to grief.

You and I remember the days when you could send hits to paysites and earn $30 for 500. Sad now you're lucky to earn $4 for a 1,000.

Adapt of die.

I did, I adapted out of the business. Fun to come here and poke fun at those hanging on.

Nico, do you really see him arguing?

He's poking fun at me because everyone knows the truth.

We used to get a sale worth $30 with 200 to 500 hits off mass traffic sources. Today the mass traffic sources sell 1,000 hits for a few dollars. And it's getting worse.

Well it could be that its turning around from traffic being king to content.

With the tube sites, there is an abundance of traffic, although nothing is selling.

What is going to sell is highly targeted original niche content, so now maybe its more important to have good content that sells, but traffic is always going to be king, no traffic will always equal no sales

Abundance can mean anything. IMO there always was for porn. A gallery on the Hun could cause massive BW bills.

My point is that to even start getting traffic, you need content and you need content right the way through the process, up to the client rebilling. Where traffic generation is left behind.

If you accept better content produces better results and good traffic people won't send surfers to poor converting sites. It has to be content that's king.

Then I apologise for saying you do.

I thought you did, well someone told me you did in the terms of ads and clicks. My mistake.

Still I'm sure you get why I think the key to getting traffic is content. Can't get many sales off a blank page.
