Newbie content provider needs tips!

Hey GFY world! I'm a recent college grad and i need to save up some extra money for grad school so i've been thinking bout doing content for the last couple months. I have the ability to do high quality pictures and HD Video. I have models already lined up. Are there any niches that are in high demand? How should i price my sets? I'm not trying to be an overnight millionaire.I'm trying to make grad school a little cheaper. Any other tips for newcomers welcomed!!!!!

first maybe you can show us the models linedup, as not every model is suitable for every niche. but we would buy lesbian content, kissing content and so on.

There is niche for everything, you just need to market what you have. That's 90% of the battle.

You really need to shoot one or two sets in the style you plan to shoot and content up to the models limits of comfortability.

I may be wrong, but when I read "I'm a recent college grad" I assume:

1. You have no real lighting or production knowledge
2. Models are people you personally know and may or may not perform well on camera.
3. The final result could come out entirely different than what was expected.

Now, none of this may be the case but saying you can do something and showing you can do something are two very different scenarios. If nothing else, do it for yourself. Say "I want to produce (blank)" and do it just to see what the problems are that come up. Trust me, you will be glad you did it now rather than when you have someone you are on the hook to.

Welcome.

Post some sample pics in the main forum.
Visit some content stores to get an idea of the prices you could charge: http://www.tgpfeeder.com/content-providers/index.php

Some advice from another newbie:
1. Before you shoot your content, post a few photos of the girls on this site and see what reactions you get to the girls, to your level of quality and to the nature of your content.
2. Try to line up interested buyers and really get to know what sort of content they are selling and what they expect.
3. I would pay the models cash on the day of the shoot, but not PornStar sort of pay. Probably 25 to 50 an hour for the first shoots. If you get good sales from the content and demand for more, then you can pay better.

One big thing a lot of newbie producers don't get right is that you have to get a copy of their ID and a talent release that explicitly states that the nature of the photos and video is explicit and erotic.

Welcome and congrats on graduating. Best of luck to you in grad school. I actually got into porn while in grad school many years ago and paid my way through school by shooting content. I knew nothing at the time (can't say I know a whole lot more now either though) and I had awful equipment--much of which I borrowed back then.

The biggest advice I can give is "just do it". Don't get discouraged by these pros saying you need this and that, just do it. Don't expect everything to be perfect at first, you'll learn as you go.
