Nice job shedding some of that bodyfat!

make sure you're diet is in check by taking 1 to 1 1/2 grams of protein per body weight, proper carbs (oats, yams, brown rice) proper fats (omega 3 and omega 6, flax seed oil, olive oil) and 5 to six meals a day

zabijaq 05-05-2010 08:02 AM

Love your old tits, eat fat food and keep them growing :D

Raf1 05-05-2010 08:07 AM

keep it up man, you're doing great

bronco67 05-05-2010 08:07 AM

You should be able to have even more empty sexual encounters with the new body, so add it back into your lifestyle. It is burning calories, BTW.

CaptainHowdy 05-05-2010 08:16 AM

You got ripped...

Tom_PM 05-05-2010 08:21 AM

Lookin good! Congrats on positive change.

Feels much better,

I wonder if I'll make the same progress in another 90 days, still have quite some fat to get rid off

I was scaling the burning process from 400 calories a day the first month to 500 calories a day the second month and eventually 600 calories a day the third month.

You can see the loose skin.

Machete_ 05-05-2010 08:55 AM

Insanity? P90X anyone?? :)

I was thinking the same thing. I bought P90x and have been putting it off but lately have been really considering it again. I know a few friends who have done it and the results really are drastic. Then I saw the infomercial for Insanity and that looks interesting too.

Any feedback on either?

Congrats Carlos!

your skin will tighten up, what's your age?

what do you mean "scaling the burning process from 400 calories a day the first month to 500 calories a day the second month and eventually 600 calories a day the third month." ??

also, i was looking at your food items in your diet, why the corn products? just curious.

:thumbsup

HowlingWulf 05-05-2010 09:05 AM

That diet takes some major willpower imo. Congrats.

Was slowly adding the workload, wasn't exactly in athletic shape when I started, so I started burning 400 calories per one session and then went up a hundred every month

There's no real reason apart from that I like the taste, which is kind of important if your diet is as monotonous as mine is :)

dyna mo 05-05-2010 09:17 AM

gotcha, your skin should certainly tighten up in no time then, quick weightloss will do that.

woj 05-05-2010 09:23 AM

not bad, congrats dude :thumbsup

I'm two weeks from finishing P90X (this is my second attempt - did the first two phases last year before summer and beach volleyball started) and have been swapping yoga and kempo sometimes for Insanity since week five and have been doubling almost every day with Insanity for the last few weeks. (I'm only doing that because 90 day pics are coming up and I'm trying to finish strong. It's not because I've gone insane :) ).

I would say Insanity is great for overall conditioning. If you're just looking for that, you don't need any weights and it's just about putting the time in. You just need to be humble because they're tough. Like really, really tough. I haven't finished a workout without big breaks. What it lacks is the focus on strength training.

P90X at least gives you a terrific overall workout. You have variety, instruction, and as long as you have the equipment, you can build a solid body without paying huge amounts for a trainer. I think that's the big difference. The average person would need a trainer in order to put a workout that's that comprehensive together.

For me, combining the two are where it's at. I've seen great progress so far. As a case in point, I did chest, shoulders and tris this morning. This workout started in week five and I was able to do a total of 52 pushups by then. Today I was able to do 91. Once the 90 days are over, though, I'm putting yoga back in the mix. I hate it. It's the hardest workout IMO. For that reason alone, I need to do more of it.

dyna mo 05-05-2010 09:40 AM

the yoga is a killer, + it's 90 minutes--- eeeeeeeowww!

No kiddin - I think I lasted 10 minutes the first time I tried it. Once you know where the balance postures come in, though, it gives you something to hold out for.... but that's like 40 minutes of pain. eeeeeeeeeowwww is right.

my balance muscles were in the worst shape when i started, hell, i could not even do the leg routine without holding on to something. i had to swap the cardio routine for the yoga for many weeks but am doing the yoga now, cept for those crazy poses like *crane* !!

but i do see how the yoga adds a lot to the exercise program, hell, i am soaked with sweat after the asana/vinyasa and have to break for a bit prior to starting the balance section.

Hawkeye 05-05-2010 10:34 AM

1. It looks like your boobs are getting bigger.

2. It looks like you are sucking in your gut in those after pics.

Me too. I want to get back into it... I'm just so focused on the cardio that I want to crush it till the 90 days are up. That's fantastic you're keeping on it, though. And from your thread, it looks like it's working out pretty well so far ;)

Tom_PM 05-05-2010 11:41 AM

I was thinking of trying the Survivor diet. 39 days on 1 cup of rice and 1 piece of fruit per day, hehe. What could possibly go wrong?

Find something else that you like with some nutritional value and get rid of the corn and corn products, for the most part its just empty calories.
