What vitamins and supplements do you take ?

I work out 7 days a week (primarily cardio) and plus has a family history of Diabetes and Hart issues.

1. Omega 3
2. Vitamin D
3. Vitamin B
4. Fish Oil
5. Vitamin C
6. Chromium

beerptrol 03-25-2012 04:04 PM

Right now i'm starting my ECA stack, but I usually take a multi vitamin, fish oil, and green tea

Pseudonymous 03-25-2012 04:16 PM

I used to take things like NOXplode, Superpump, Size On, glutamine, creatine, a bunch of others. But I started doing things alot more naturally without all the extra stuff because the weight I gain without help, I keep it alot longer and i dont need to keep taking it to maintain it. I dont want to rely on too much extra help.

I try to stick to taking iso whey or gainer (depending which direction im going in), multi vitamins, fishoils

I focus mainly on diet and switching up my workout, i dont think people change their workout very much. Hitting muscles from every angle you can

Though if you are into taking supplements, superpump was the best supplement i've ever taken, dramatic improvements

Vitamin Cid

But seriously, I take a centrum multi-vitamin a day. Also a couple of St. Johns Wart to brighten my day.

No offense, but most of that stuff in the picture is Chinese sourced junk. They buy creatine and other raw ingredients from China, it's mixed in America so it says made in America, but it's all Chinese junk with no quality control whatsoever and full of chemicals and other contaminants.

Supplement companies are about as sleazy as companies get, they are basically small marketing firms and outsource everything. There are good supplements, but there are only a few respectable companies that use quality ingredients and you have to do a shitload of research because none of the companies make it clear who makes their supplements for them, or where they get their ingredients.

I'm not knocking anybody, just do some research on stuff you take so you know you are getting what you want and not some Chinese garbage.

Good stuff!

One thing I'd say is that I notice a big difference in the quality of different brands. Some go straight through. I would recommend adding Selenium (absorbable) and Liquid Bee Propolis (drop into a glass of warm water each day). I like Ginkgo and Ginseng as it keeps the mind very sharp. Also the stomach absorbs well first thing in the morning, this decreases as the day goes on. (you probably knew that but just in case you didn't)

Diabetes (Type 2) is mainly a lifestyle disease.

Damn you make me feel guilty sometimes.

Good choices, keep it up :thumbsup

jigg 03-25-2012 05:41 PM

I drink lots of the Naked Juice and Bolthousefarms juices

other than that, sometimes multi-vitamins without iron. If not just A & D 400mg separately.

Took a Winn-Dixie brand Essential fatty acids combo for a while with Omega and some others in, and one side effect was thicker jizz, and damn lots of it!! All in a $3-4 bottle with ~50 pills :helpme

Chosen 03-25-2012 05:43 PM

None :pimp

It's actually the best-dissolving BCAA I've ever tried. I can't believe how little time I spend shaking the mixer while I'm working out.

If you're referring to the Wal-Mart Creatine and protein mixes that I give to training partners, yes. Much else in that cabinet, and you're talking out of your ass -- also no offense.

NerdScott 03-25-2012 08:15 PM

hgh shots, gaba, whey, calcium, zinc.

All the supps didnt do much until i started eating 6 times a day (splitting carbs from protein) and working out 5 days a week. Best i have ever felt.

shake 03-25-2012 08:30 PM

Hey no worries man. I haven't researched everything out there, just the stuff I have taken, but there is a lot of junk, which you probably know. Just make sure to dig around when trying a new supplement to make sure the ingredients are U.S. sourced. Sounds like you already have.

It's funny, you can start a supplement company today from your bedroom, and most places do just that.

Like any industry that appeals to people's inherent need for a shortcut, it's rife with snake oil salesmen. :upsidedow

Currently on my medicine shelf: Green Crack, Golden Pineapple, CannaGold, Hazy Kush, Harlequin, Crazy Ape, Red Light, Whiteberry, Purple Wreck, True OG, Ingrid, Jack Herer, and Lavender OG Bubble hash. Also, Pure medical cannabis tincture, full extract cannabis oil, and good ol' Cannabutter, which is a good butter substitute for cooking.

RazorSharpe 03-26-2012 01:52 AM

- Scivation whey protein
- scivation xtend (on training days)
- gaspari superpump (on training days)
- multi vitamin (no iron)
- fish oil caps
- green tea
- 4 litres of water

MaDalton 03-26-2012 02:36 AM

thats the way how its done :2 cents:

just read an article how artificial vitamins are even dangerous and increase cancer risk

but they are really really profitable for the companies who sell them - so make up your own mind

Over the last 20 years I've tried and tested many different types, but when it comes to making your mind really sharp this is the one, ideally 2 per day

TheSquealer 03-26-2012 05:10 AM

Multivitamin
B complex
C
D3
Calcium
Flax seed oil
Glucosamine
Glutamine
BCAAs
Whey Protein (whatever one i'm not tired of choking down each day)

Choopa Phil 03-26-2012 06:02 AM

Currently cutting so...ECA with BCAA Intraworkout, Multi vitamin, Creatine, Muscle egg liquid egg whites for post workout protein. Rest is from food...I see quite a lot of "hype" supplements posted in this thread. Stick with the tried and true staples, no sense in wasting your money on a bottle of magic herbs.

DWB 03-26-2012 07:23 AM

That's what up.

Dirty F 03-26-2012 07:33 AM

Funny to see how many people waste money on vitamins.
Total waste of money.
Unless you are sick or live in Africa you get plenty of vitamins through your daily food. Even if you eat at Macdonalds.
Taking extra vitamins does absolutely nothing.
I repeat: it does absolutely nothing. You just piss it out again.
