I just got banned from thunder-ball.

I have my own account, but I have also been doing some work for somebody else.

Their script has noticed the same I.P. address on the same account, and banned both accounts.

I have contacted them via ICQ, but they wont listen to a word of it. They insist that I was being two people using ICQ to convince him that we were two seperate people.

If he looked at his own WHOIS link, he would see that the two accounts have completely different sites and different registrants.

That's true. They have to understand that sites aren't always promoted by the same people that own them. I would've just told you that if you are doing the marketing for the sites, then the sites need to be under your account.

When you no longer work for the specific site, take them out of your TB portfolio, and everything should still be fine, right? (since the hardlinks would still be in place)

I noticed that a trade partner of mine, on Thunder-Ball, was banned for duplicate accounts. Since they still have my links online, I left theirs up, even though the bold-faced "Banned" label kinda throws me back a bit. Plus that partner has two links pointing to me, when they should only have one. :D

Linkex is cool, but it is nice to use TB since both parties can see if a link was dropped, rather than just the person with Linkex installed.

How exactly would having multiple accounts cause any greater benefit?..... the only thing I can see would be for social reasoning such as if Nickname-A pisses off another user and they stop using them, then they won't end up doing trades with the same person if they are also Nickname-B..

As it was me leroytrolley was working for can't say I am too pleased that I have paid him for hours of link requests done thru thunderball half of which I can't now reciprocate & can't access the control panel to find out who I owe links to. But as the shit list adds up... it becomes clear that leroytrolley is NOT liked.... 7 is a High Number.

Ah, if u got banned its cause U didnt follow the rules their there for a reason however menial U may think they are...

If people have multiple accounts it would be very easy to cheat / fuck over other decent honest traders...

and the system is based on trust ... i.e. the friends list and the shit list

If multiple acc. are created sumone that U may not trust or have on your shit list may sign up as another user and trade with U while fucking U over in the process

So I for one am glad that TBN enforces their rules it makes me feel safe when I deal with other honest members
