People with ripped abs..
Care to share your workout schedule and routine? I dropped about 12lbs in the last 3 weeks and lost nearly all of my small beer belly and love handles. Now I want to make sure they don't come back. I have a good amount of core muscle now, but want to get the washboard abs going.
Tried this last year I think, but ended up working too much online and not eating right. After my little health scare from a few weeks ago I've reached a turning point and won't allow myself to become complacent again. Looking for "non gym" around the house stuff. I have an ab roller, light weights, those push up handle deals and yoga ball, lots of floor space. |

i guess when you are as ugly as you are having abs couldnt do anything but help improve your chances with the ladies. :thumbsup

genetics and youth play a big part in it
it is hard for those without the genetics to drop enough bodyfat while maintaining muscle to have a ripped look for those with the right genetics, they don't even need t work out but anyways, diet is more important than the specific workout routine for those that can achieve it:2 cents: and of course drugs can achieve when the genetics are not optimal, but that is not without dangers as a path to follow |
|
What'd you do for the last 3 weeks exactly?
|
its 99% what you eat to have those abs. the rest is genetics and exercise.
i will tell you that as a matter of fact, so will halcyon. i used to be ripped in the gut and eating the way you have to eat to keep it takes tons of discipline. pizza, forget it. mac and cheese, no way pretty much say goodbye to bad carbs. crunches and diet. pilates ball work for core strength if you really wanna go nuts. |

cheese = terrible fat the kind of fat you cant have. crackers = depending on what kind they are. could be ok, depends on whats in them. jello = almost all refined sugar. no no no. you're off to a good start. hehe. jk. fyi, not eating meals at the right times will do you no good. starving the body does more damage than help as far as weight loss, especially with your health complications lateluy if you want hit me up later, i'll help you out, my old room mate was the nutritionist for the san diego chargers. i know more than i want to about the subject. |

Currently today 5'9" tall 152lbs I am fine with that weight, I was at 164 like I said a few weeks ago. When I tried this before, I did some pics as I went of my abs. I might do that again lol |
a lot of bullshit misinformation in this thread, but that's expected asking a question like that here.
anyone who dismisses the ability of getting ripped abs to 99% genetics/99% diet (which is it then?) is simply misinformed about the hard work required to build muscle, lose fat and get thinner skin. go read the articles at www.bodybuilding.com and other places online that have viable real info. |
i used to have an 8 pack & 9% bodyfat...now i'm a 6pack and prolly 12% cause its wintertime :)
start off your mornings with a nice bowl of oatmeal sweetened with natural, unrefined, raw honey, and a couple of scrambled eggs & glass of water eat 4-6 times a day, all small portions sugar, soda, gatorade, cheese, pizza, etc has to go away |

abs are made in the kitchen mang
|
I do 200 situps every morning and 250 before bed.. plus I run about 6 miles a week.. smoke 2 packs a day.. take bongloads like they are going out of style...
I am very active always have been.. I play pro paintball so we workout as a team few times a week as well in the gym... im not big is size but im strong as fuck... my body fat is below 6% but my wife hates me cause I can litterally eat anything and not gain weight... |

I'd love to get my 6pack back. It's been about 5 or 6 years since i had one.
I doubt I can change my diet, even with my high cholesterol. Tonight I made a brined duck, spinach and sauteed(in the duck fat) garlic/rosemary potatoes. I'm too good a cook to have a good diet. :( |

see our team capt/gen is 42 and will run circles around us still so the longer I hang the less my balls get busted.. plus we do 24 hour events and sometimes 48 hour or even week long events.. it's pretty realistic and the less in shape you are the lower you finish on the totem pole |
I heard being gay helps too.

I think I'm going to do this.. Are you really gonna do it sticky? We could take pics and have a friendly competition, perhaps? I'm going to Mexico for a month in 4 days, and I'm serious about using my time there to get in shape and feel better. I will eat carnitas like a pig though.. But I'll do the excercise, maybe diet later. :) |

Don't worry about crunches and all that bullshit.
Abs are made in the kitchen, not in the gym. |
it's called the Bro Pack

I'm not sure if anyone here actually has a six pack. I do. And I can tell you a raw diet for a few weeks with core training will show your abs sooner than you thought was possible. The question is... Do you have the discipline for a raw vegan diet?
|
i'll never have abs,
