OK.

Now, the MPAA and RIAA tried this legal blackmail approach for many, many years.

They have both now stopped the practise, admitting that it has had no impact on copyright infringement whatsoever and cost them a fortune.

Why do you think they have done that if it does work and does stop piracy, as you appear to be claiming?

Are you saying you are smarter than the combined legal might of the MPAA and RIAA?
You're definitely NOT smarter than a burger flipper.

Are you saying the porn companies chasing pirates are losing money?

No.

I am saying the MPAA and RIAA lost a lot of money doing the same legal blackmail scam over the last 5 years.

That is why I wrote that and not what you said I wrote.

As I've told you before, if you actually quote the point I make and then make a counter point, it's more interesting a discussion than when you deliberately pretend to ignore my points, and you just make shit up I didn't say to create a smokescreen. Your MO is transparent to me now.

So again, two things Paul

1) Why are these copyright trolls not going after the seeders/rippers/crackers/uploaders?
2) Why do you think you know better than the MPAA and RIAA?

But do feel free to pretend you've not read that and just call me a cock, say I am shit at my job, that I live in a rented flat etc etc

Helps show your 'side' has no reasonable counterpoint. Which makes me smile each time you do it.

xx

Bless you, you funny little chap.

We all know it's wrong, we all know it is immoral. But rather than defend their practises you just call me names, I am sure it makes you feel better.

I point out the immoral and unethical practises, point out others have tried this approach and given ip on it, and rather than defend sending a blackmail letter, you just try and insult me.

You are proving my point with every post you make.

You cannot argue against it. And that's fine with me.

Thanks for helping me demonstrate this.
As wrong, as immoral, unethical and pirating other peoples hard work.

What would you do to profit from the immoral, unethical and pirating practices?

There are people who think you working in the porn industry is immoral, unethical and disgusting. You have the freedom to make your choices. Those going after the pirates also have the freedom to make their choices.

Are you saying they shouldn't have that freedom?

Your simple point was pointless. So why discuss it?

Seriously who gives a fuck about going on a costly crusade in business? It's business Damian, but I see you can't think like that. You being a Saint.

Because their's more money in going after the downloaders.

Because they have learned from the mistakes of others. That's what business is all about.

Now please troll over to Torrent Freak and argue your point their about what's moral and ethical.

Cool, so you do actually get this is about just money, not piracy.

How is repeating something someone else has tried and has failed learning?

Surely if they were learning from the mistakes, they wouldn't repeat them.

Can you explain to me, if you have time, how repeating something that has been proven not to work is 'learning'?

Thanks for actually answering the questions, albeit in an odd way.

Oh I see. So, someone does something bad, and your defence in court about doing something bad as revenge is "they did it first"? (and when I say 'they' I mean 'the person who pays for the internet connection who may or may not have done anything bad at all, I just think they did, but have no actual proof').

I can't see that holding water legally, Paul.

Surely you can do better than "well he started it" to justify this legal blackmail?

Yes. I am saying that porn companies should not legally blackmail end users. I thought that was clear by now?

It's far from saintly to think that legal blackmail is a good idea. It's just basic humanity. Don't scare old ladies into paying up money for downloading gay nazi hardcore porn. That is a shit thing to do. Nothing to do with sainthood.

Nope, nothing? Gosh, I am surprised!
Right, like I'm going to waste my time searching through your posts. You have a negative comment towards people doing ANYTHING to fight piracy. Forget about blackmail emails or what's going on specifically in this thread.

I know it, you know it and everyone on this board knows it. Clown.

You couldn't find even one?

You could just say "OK Damian, you don't defend piracy, sorry about that baseless lie."

And I could then say "That's cool, Broseph" and fist bump you.

Or something.

The RIAA recently agreed with me. You like them, so you must now agree with them?

Of course, as no one even wants to pirate your content, so it's kind of a non-issue for you. Cory Doctorow said obscurity is worse that piracy. He's right. Shame you don't make stuff even worth nicking.

I have him on "ignore" because he's useless...But damn it y'all keep quoting him. lol!

Just out of curiosity...what does damianj DO anyway? Other than his pornbeer cam blog. What is his skill set? What big success has he ever had? Am I missing something? Is damianj actually a force in this business who has made several million dollars with a huge successful website and I somehow missed it?

Don't you remember when you met me at Xbiz couple of years ago?

I do marketing, love. So I help companies make more money from advertising, branding, affiliates, B2B shows, boards, etc.

I specialise in email marketing, recently speaking on the subject at InterNEXT, with a packed house.

I've worked with the largest names in the industry and decide who and what projects I work on. Currently enjoying help easydate increase the click through rate on many many million emails they send every day to their dating portfolio, working with my longest client (over 3 years) on launching some new sites into 3wayscash.com and discussing all the jobs I got out of vegas?

What is it you do?

Oh yes, film your charming wife fucking strangers.

Well done.

Must be awfully hard.

Could somebody quote him so I can see what it is he does? I'm not interested in his snide remarks. Just in what it is that he does in this business (and I certainly hope it isn't "consulting"...which equals "nothing")

I hope people keep doing this, these free file sharing are killing hard working companies. For me greedy corporations can screw themselves I know how they treat their talent. But to steal from good companies that are doing the right thing is fed up.

Sony
Warner
Windows
Apple

I have no sympathy for them. They have screwed their customers and talent too many times.

I think this shows how good Damian is.

www.pornbeer.com scroll down the page to see the state of his home. The funny thing is he kept shooting in this place until I goaded him enough. So he changed it, still not shooting from the home of a successful person.

He might list his talents and know a lot about the Internet. Hasn't brought him a lot.

Damian if I was a failure like you I wouldn't post videos from my living room. I'm too bright for that.

Your troll game is weak today Markham.

Squirt some more cancer dinner into your belly and come back tomorrow when you aren't so addled.

Really, step you your game, son. We've all seen the 'you live in a hovel' bit several times. We've seen the 'you're a magician' bit.

Bring something NEW to the table.

Or I'll start threatening to post about why your make up artist was compelled to resign. And you don't want that, do you, old man?

Oh god, you've done the magic thing again as I was typing the above post.

Fuck me Paul, you have two things you think annoy me. One is I live in a rented flat, the second is I am a magician.

These things do not annoy me.

But you thinking they do really amuses me, so carry on.

Try using the Wayback machine to find my old magic sites!

Nah, I didn't. Robbie was just begging me to arrange a shoot with my client at the time.

I'd love that. Because all I see is you repeatedly making really lame quasi-threats on the internet. I would love you the threaten me in real life. I bet you're awfully tough and shit.

I know it's frustrating when you lose an argument, but vaguely threatening violence is just the sign of a weak game. It's like admitting you've lost. It's OK if you haven't taken any site rippers/uploaders to court. No biggy. No need to act the big man.

You gonna be in PHX, we should grab a beer.

I can be in Phoenix. I don't drink though... never needed liquid courage. It's all about respect. You have none.. thus I will demonstrate.

Post it please.

The only make up artist I employed was here in Czech. Who I sacked for Gross Misconduct. Her and her boyfriend were coming into the offices at night to download/upload pirated content. Mostly movies and games.

Never employed one in England uses 3 part time when I shot sets. I bet you don't even know the names of them. Two were top models and the other married to a Scots Guard.

This threat used to be about my secretary. Want a link to the threat?

Damian, man of straw. And full of bollox.

Post it or be damned for ever a liar.

wow...damianj are you really seriously calling Eric out? I'd love to see that. And he is correct...you show nothing but disrespect to people. Which is why I have you on "ignore". But I can't help but be amazed that you are gong to ask Eric to meet you in real life. Mistake of a lifetime my friend. Some of us on here don't fuck around, and he is one of them. I hope you are able to step back from your pro-piracy crusade for a second to realize just how serious some people are. You are definitely not making any friends this way.

Come on guys...
What Damian does on the side (his magic shows) aren't the point. If he loves doing something it's none of our business.

My guess is he's probably pretty good at it. And in real life he is probably a nice guy (I just don't remember him, I meet a lot of people).

But he definitely is acting like a jackass on this forum. And the things he continues to say about any attempt at combatting piracy are what the focus should be on.

Personally I would never do business with him just because of that reason. Not saying that others would do the same. I'm just saying that I personally don't condone people making money off of other folk's work...I call it "stealing".

And I'm not real happy about all the people in our business who are desperate and try to get in on it too. But I understand it.

What I don't understand is why damianj, who has absolutely no reason to be involved in this discussion...makes it his purpose in life to do so.

He's not really in the porn business (at least not in the creating part of it) so why does he do this? For attention?

Well, I guess it worked.

But I don't see anything to make fun of for the guy doing his thing with his magic shows. Nothing funny or ridiculing about that. He just enjoys something so he does it. No need to try and make fun of it. I find that Damian pretty much buries himself right here when he jumps into piracy issues that he has zero experience in or knowledge. No need to get personal about it.

Probably shares a bathroom with the people who live downstairs. It's a small terrace house and they rarely have 2 bathrooms. Unless it was converted.

See what I know about bathrooms??

I et him a few years ago in Waltham Abbey, just outside London. It was a Beer & Bollocks get together and he was all sweetness and light. Nice guy. And his magic is good.

But on the boards he's a scum bag. He's accused me of something that he won't tell what it is, 3 times. Threatening to reveal something he learned about me via an ex employee. First was a secretary and now it's a make up artist. He's a liar and is full of shit. Or he would of posted it. Trust me my telling people what he amounts to does get to him. He would love to shame me.

Paul, life's too short to waste on that bro.

From what I have learned of you, you have had a pretty damn good life and career so far in this business and made some decent money. You have a lovely wife, a nice home, etc.

Unless you're just having fun with all of this...don't get caught up in Damian fucking with you. I don't know the guy, but I've seen 'em come and go. And you have certainly seen far more than me.

For all we know Damian might not even be involved in the adult industry 5 years from now. He might just be passing through onto whatever his destiny is in life. Why bother arguing with him? Just put him on ignore, and forget about him.

What have you got to lose? Nothing. He can't make you a thin dime, so he's useless to you. Forget about him and enjoy life. God knows I'm trying to take my own advice (though it's easier to give out that advice than to actually take it lol )

It's all fun and games until someone gets what's coming. Personally, I wouldn't want to risk catching another case on someone like him. Many... many people have said it's not worth it and they are right. I forget that sometimes.

Yes it's been a fun 3 decades and will probably still be here for a bit longer. Clowns like Damian weren't around in the porn business prior to the Internet, it was a business that people judged you on what you produced. Not on what you said.

And that's my point, some newbies might be fooled into thinking this failure is something. They might think his Porn Beer videos are cool and knowledgeable. Look at the sofa to see the proof of what that knowledge has bought him.

Anyway teasing him is a past time. It gets me away from my hobbies of reading and doing jigsaws. Not as much fun as shooting naked females, but who cares.

Damian. Step up to the plate and tell all what secret you have to shame me.

I have utmost respect for people that deserve it, I have none for people that have to resort to (insinuated) threats of violence.

Shows you've lost, hands down, whatever point you were trying to make when you resort to that sort of thing. And you *always* resort to it, somewhat shamefully.

I'm sure you are a nice chap, and when faced with people who disagree with you in real life you are much more polite than your board persona.

What day would you like to meet? I'll be there the whole show.

Maybe the other people with hard ons for me would like to meet too? I've already offered slutboat a meet, but he pussied out. How about Robbie, that caligully creature? Wanna sit down too?

Email me to arrange.

xoxoxo

No you're a liar and making untrue accusations show how low you are.

You tar yourself with your own brush.

It's like taking candy from a baby...

Thanks for being so easy.

So anyway, why do you think ACS: Law are doing something bad and the US lawyers doing the same thing are doing something good?

You go on about mistakes Andrew made. What are those mistakes, in your mind? What can the US ambulance chasing copyright troll cunt lawyers learn from the fact that the UK has effectively shut down this despicable practise?

Why, do you think he is actually going to beat me up like he threatens to here all the time?

Lol.

I want to explain to him face to face that being against blackmailing end users isn't the same as being pro piracy as he seems to REALLY have a hard time wrapping his head round that. It's boring how these threads all go the same way. I make a point about something, and rather than make a counter claim, eric makes thinly veiled threats against me, Robbie pretends he has me on ignore then responds to me calling me useless and a clown and not really in the biz, slutboat out and out libels me, and Paul either just calls me names or posts the fact that I make money professionally from doing magic. Same old. Every fucking time. Sigh.

Gets as tired as the android vs iphone or foreskin vs chop threads, doesn't it?

Maybe if you all stopped waving your tiny little hard ons for me, an actual good idea to try and minimise the damage from piracy may come from here.

How's that for a crazy thought!

In the meantime, this place will remove your mullet for no cost.

HTH

Damian
