How do you go negative with a PPS program?

I've emailed nick, but havent heard anything yet.. I can't imagine what they are going to say.

Anyone ever have PPS joins turn negative on you at juggcash- how is that even possible

ouch down $625 in a day. The reason it is so much for a single day is because thats when the cards notified the banks. once a month and slammo!

I hope you get it resolved or worked out some way with them

nicks been in touch, but havent gotten any news on whats up

A PPS program should not hit you with chargebacks. Thats why you give up your rebills.

Heh- i'm not "goin rogue" i just wanted to know if anyone was seeing the same thing or what

Hey Guys.

As stated above. Its a mass chargeback posting taking place but indeed PPS should not be affected.

Seems like PPS on mobile program is being removed but should not be.

We will add back all PPS funds that were removed in error.

Sorry for inconvenience!

Have a good weekend

Also let me add that mountains of stuck rebills also pouring in today so those on revshare should see more rebills today.

So resume :

On mobile, chargebacks poured in today + rebills poured in even harder.

All PPS money lost is in error. All PPS funds charged back will be added once we have the totals per account!

not to complain or take a programs side (i am an affiliate after all lol), just playing devils advocate here...to gain some insight on the mindset.

why aren't affiliate chargebacks or refunds acceptable on PPS?

is it because it's considered the programs 'fault' for not satisfying the customer?

seems to me that a sale is a sale. a chargeback or refund negates that sale. when i first got started i thought that PPS was of the mentality that 'we'll pay you $XX up front even on a $1 trial, because we'll possibly make more on the rebills'. so how do aff programs profit by taking all of the risk in PPS?

Because PPS usually is an about avg of what each member that signs up would make the affiliate, including rebills and charge backs. Thats what I always thought anyway.

so like if i was doing revshare and sent 2 sales..... customer A winds up spending $50 over time, customer B charges back everything. $25 bucks PPS.

ok i can see that

I'm not a big Manwin fan but I have to give them credit for making this one right and having a decent payment reputation.

Yes but many PPS programs are now doing the hidden cross sale (not sure about Juggcash) thing. When a surfer sees $150 in charges they are usually going to charge back everything on the basis of it being fraudulent not just the cross sales. That's not fair to the affiliate since the customer likely would have never charged back if it weren't for the deceptive XS. If the affiliate is sending fraudulent signups then they should be canned from the program. Taking away CBs on PPS is bullshit. I don't care what anyone says.

I think a lot of programs changed to passing the chargebacks on to the responsible affiliates since massive chargebacks are also usually associated with fraudulent cards which I am definitely NOT saying is the case with this affiliate.

But the logic from the program's perspective definitely is "if you brought a sale that wasn't a sale then you shouldn't get paid while we get penalized by the credit card company and possibly lose our merch account"

Pros and cons to both sides of the fence, program or affiliate.

As the originator of this post, I would just like to say thanks and kudos to Nick for being so on top of this ;)

Re: how PPS should work vs revshare, assuming the affiliate is not doing anything fraudulent (I'm not of course)

PPS is like getting an upfront average of what your traffic can produce. You may bring in some whales that rebill for a year, and you may bring in some jackwads that chargeback after 2 days. With PPS, the program comes up with a price per sale that makes them feel comfortable with the risk to reward.

Revshare is simply a partnership split and whatever happens, happens to everyone involved. Get a whale, everyone gets a piece, get a chargeback, everyone gets a piece.. etc

First they stole all the videos.

Next they came for your sales.
