The reason I wouldn't fully agree is because these companies were obiously breaking the law.

PartyPoker.com and many others are still alive and well because they follow rules or use proper practice.

When I was first starting out online I was looking into poker/gambling as a niche to look into and maybe build something in. And the first thing I noticed before any other was "Do Not Bank with the US" Simple, they always suggested using Gibraltar/Cyprus/other offshore locations.

Don't use US hosting was another one. As for using a .com domain that wasn't an issue from what I had seen. If the US had full control of the .com domains then sites like tradetang.com would be taken offline instantly (95% of the stuff sold there is illegal/copied)

Will be interesting to see what else comes up with these recent "crack downs"

Yeah that was another one, avoid the US completely in regards to gambling pretty much was the general overview of all the content I read.
