Good points. I always believed freedom is most important too. And I am prob not the easiest to live with plus I get tired of people very easily too.

It is the compromise we all have to live with.

I have been alone most of my life from the time of being a young boy (without all the details) so I have a strong sense of self and always pulling my own weight and being able to be happy alone.

But I am pragmatic enough to know that two people are better than one as you go through the drudgery of day to day life and as the years go on. Just has to be the right two.

Cooking, a lil dusting, basicly only pulling my own weight is not that bad. Thanks to this biz. If I worked a 9-5 I would prob find someone immediately. That would be overwhelming.

There is always someone pulling more weight than I am. Still ya got to complain once in a while.

still disagree with this, I've had multiple long relationships, and honestly being single is better, it took me a while to mature enough to ignore societal pressures and also to realize that other than the immediate lure of sexual relations followed by the addictiveness of the familiar, it was really a huge compromise of oneself to stay in a relationship, and it was an easy thing to slip into deeper and deeper to where the complications of splitting up made it easier to stay trapped in the relationship.

theres no real happiness living and being alone

but being someone that make you smile and laugh and ofcourse and being

with her that makes you a better man and real man

and that will make you happy at the rest of your life

The last few years have been tough.. in a nutshell I buried mom on March 14 after caring for her and going from two years of assisted living to one year of nursing home to the her last days. Very tough stuff. It changed me a bit.

I found out no man is an island. My friends were there for me.

Maybe I am warming up to coming out of my hole.

I dont want no sympathy but I was a mama's boy. My father was killed whan I was 11. My older borther was already in Vietnam. It was me and her for 43 years till she hit age 95. When I say that I have lived on my own since age 18 but I visited her every two weeks for twenty years to do waht she needed done.

I never missed a visit in over 20 years. Every two weeks.

Growing up without a father set me way back. I realize that now. No excuses but maybe you need to hear more about this slob.

Walk a mile in my shoes before playing the slob card. You dont even know me. And that is how it will stay.
