NV is nice. Lived there for a year back in my uni days. Just loved the walk down hill to Seabus, waiting for Seabus, crossing, walk to UBC bus, UBC bus to UBC. Then, reverse at end of day. 3-4 hours travelling daily, M-F. In spite of that, NV was a blast. The Quay was a great place to shop and hang out at times, and slopes right behind =)

Sweet! Get awesome views from NV. I was a poor student back then, our apartment faced north - main view was laneway and dilapidated house on other side. About turn, our West End place now has near panoramic views: local mountains and all ski hills, North Van, Lions Gate, West Van, Bowen Island, Vancouver Island, Point Grey (home of my Alma mater), Kits, West End (great view of fireworks and Polar Bear Swim), and downtown Van. Pretty sweet too, but not as sweet as your NV view.
