No, you have an unauthorized remake/reshoot. Parodies change character names, modify plot details, add humor, commentary, in the sake of making fun of the original. Keeping the exact character names that are registered trademarks, the title and the plot with only adding sex does not make it a parody. Neither does saying "Oh, this is a parody, not the real thing." From the trailer, and the lack of any effort to tweak character names, etc., this is not a parody. It's Star Wars with fucking.

Call it "Star Whores." Tweak the character names: "Hand Solo," Princess Lay-me," "Luke Skyfucker." You get the point. Even mainstream parodies change character names (Scream's "Sydney" became "Cindy" in Scary movie).

But keeping the exact same trademarked character names and such is essentially busting a nut in George Lucas' face and daring him to sue because you called it a "parody" so it's safe. I'm honestly surprised that the Spiderman, Superman, etc. flicks didn't get sued over the name usage alone, but I bet the original copyright holders didn't want to draw any more attention to the porn versions. Fox managed to get the name of "The Sex Files: A Dark XXX Porn Parody" changed (it was originally "The X-Files: A Dark XXX Parody") by threatening a lawsuit. Yeah, read that, too. I highly doubt that adding graphic depictions of the characters fucking would be considered commentary on the author's work.

Of course it is legal to make a PARODY of anything, that is not my point. 99% of trailer looks like loosely based copies of the original elements of Star Wars. There are a few things however that stand out as suspect to me.

Listen to the SOUND of the X-Wing Fighters at 1:20 (repeated again at 1:25 and at 1:39. This sounds so close to the original I could swear it was sampled. It's not the same sound the X-Wing fighters make in space, but instead it is the sound of the Millennium Falcon makes after it enters the atmosphere of a planet. Also listen to the sound of the light sabre exactly at 2:01 as "obi wan" raises it, and the sound of the Tie Fighters at 1:42. I know my sound. If these are original sounds and not actual sound samples from Star Wars I would be very very surprised.

TheHand: Wouldn't it be at least worth it to check with your audio guy and make sure that these sounds were not lifted from the movie?

Yes but there's nothing that mandates that the parody has to change names, a trademark is only protection if there's a reasonable doubt people will mistake the product for the official one. Not the case here.

People get permission, pay licenses, to be on the safe side, but the law explicitly protects parodies that are likely to piss off the original creator, because that's kind of the point!

People think (And corporations encourage them to do so) that copyright and trademark mean they own words and sounds and visual concepts, while that's not the case. Maybe if people were more familiar with what copyright law actually allows they wouldn't be so quick to want to throw it all out the window.
