The Irish have a history of being sold (or just physically forced) into slavery that would make the average modern person say "WTF?" I'm sure the Irish have a few more choice phrases. Until America came into the picture, Africans and Irish were one and the same.

America did not last long as a slave nation (compared to most civilizations), but they are continually paying the price. Every country on the face of the Earth had slaves. Who built the pyramids? It wasn't unionized contractors. Who's giving "happy ending" massages at your local "Health Spa"? Its not legal immigrants.

"The Bible" says slavery is an "established institution". That would probably be the one true statement in that joke of a book.

Get over what happened to your ancestors, and start worrying about what is happening to people today. It is the exact same thing. Not as glamourous, or hyped in the American media, but what happened to your ancestors is what is happening to people now. Today. Right this second.
