Paxum Story (Employee)

I know and fully understand the KYC system. After dealing with their Ticket Support and contacting Ruth in this situation it didn't went through. So here's the full story.

My employee sign up on Paxum he is located at PH. Now I let him sign up because we cant afford to pay $46 every Wire transfer and high percentage in Western Union each week. So he sign up and he upload his ID's, he does not have any ID other than Social Security System ID (National ID considerable) A voters ID from Commission on Election well Paxum declined the application because they need a Primary ID, but in the Primary Section when you try to upload your id's it indicates the ID Card so he put the SSS ID in primary section because it's considerable to be an ID Card and a National ID. Both ID's are declined and application is denied. Of course we amended the first decision and show the proof on the website of SSS that the ID is considerable to be a national ID. The only and last response we got is that we need to notarized the ID's. Isn't it fabulous?

So I let him transferred to Redpass and Payoneer to try it out. They have KYC rules and policies but it seems these company (Payoneer) doesn't require to notarized your documents. So we decided to stay in Payoneer this time.

The bottom-line question: Will you guys do the necessary things "notarizing it for KYC purpose"?

Disclaimer:
Providing such story in the public for the purpose to let everyone aware for future reference is not a libelous conduct. Letting everyone knows how Paxum system works and their rules and not trying to ruined their reputation nor providing false information. And for any reason that may deemed of deletion of this thread/post the admin may proceed and no need to contact me for approval.

Just because our KYC policy may differ from payoneer or redpass does not mean we are wrong or doing something extra.

What I will say is - we follow the KYC producers that are set in place by the card issuer.

You mentioned Ruth tried to help you out so I'm sure she can elaborate more on your situation

I wouldn't jump through their hoops either. I needed less information to get a passport.

You must of gotten a special passport

I had to do the follow to get my passport

1) A couple page document filled out
2) ID
3) Birth Cert
4) Do an oath and swear that all information is correct and that I was not a terrorist

edit: forgot number 5 ... a random picture on a white background with no "facial expression" as the lady put it

Compared to

1) ID
2) Proof of address

Only two documents needed but it takes on the top of Everest to get approve too many things that you need for your ID even it's National ID ticket support department keeps basing the rules in US and CA. In other words, you guys want an ID which is similar to your country. Support (ticket) cant even understand the explanation that SSS ID is their national ID in PH as well but still they do not honor that. Secondly it's a primary ID. Third, why notarizing it if that is already a primary ID?

We require that ID's be in latin characters. If they are not in latin characters then we do require notarization. Can you have your employee post his paxum ID in this thread or have him email me so i can speak with fully knowledge of the problem?

SSS is not a national Filipino ID. However, if it's a newer version it's pretty good. Almost as good as a NBI ID :-)

Just get a passport or drivers license. Pretty easy to get.

Always deal with Ruth - She is customer service and that's her priority.

When you are dealing with the back office people they don't seem to care or even understand in some cases - When you are talking about your hard earned cash you need constant communication, it builds trust.....

Its not just Paxum that need to take that on board.

Paxum's ID requirements are absolutely stupid, there is no other way to describe them.

We signed up a few days ago and it has now taken us 3 attempts to give them our ID documents and they have still been rejected as of this morning.

Funny thing is, every other business we have used from processing, the State of Florida to our banking provider has accepted them with absolutely *NO* issues.

Why they need the same document 20 different times is crazy and then, to top it all off, we try adding our business bank account to actually fund the acct and they want us to take a picture of us holding our ID to verify the bank account... I have *never* had to jump through so many hoops before to actually send someone money in over 10 years of working online.

Paxum is, without a doubt worse than Paypal when it comes to proving your identification... At least with Paypal after the 2nd attempt of sending in ID documents they realize you are a real person.

I did - As Chris said get back in contact with Ruth.

When something changes Ruth will fall out of the loop and it will go back to the back office to deal with - I am not saying it is right that you have to do the chasing around, but that's how you get it done...

With any company I have to deal with in the UK - Utilities, banks or whatever the first time I contact someone that seems to have a clue I try to only deal with that person in the future.

The difference being, nobody is applying for a government form of id, they're applying for a way to send money online through a company that seems to make 'policy' up as they go stating its 'required' by issuing banks and to follow a variety of 'banking' rules, which, anyone with half an ounce of common sense knows is pure bullshit.

If the rules are not there why do you think they do it - Just to be annoying?

Not a great business plan...

Have you ever been asked by any other company to fill a form out using blue ink specifically?

If you went into your bank and had to show them a copy of your ID so they could use it for their records, would they expect you to have no issues if they scanned it using full color, along with 2 other forms of documentation without explaining what their data protection policy is?

Its usually black ink but that's common here.

All government forms tell you what color ink to use.

So Paxum is a government now?

I just have issues with demands that make no sense, then when you follow those demands things get rejected for the most stupid reasons.

Where did I imply Paxum are the Government - It was simply an example of another organisation that dictates the color of ink - A direct reply to a question you asked....

The question you ignored was - Do you think Paxum do this just to annoy potential clients?

No, I think they are doing it because their owner has told the employees it has been set up by their banking facilitator and being the good sheep they are, they haven't questioned the motives behind it.

I'm sure there is a reason behind it in the company owners mind, but it most definitely hasn't been handed down by their bank... If it had, why has no other online payment processor in the history of the internet asked for similar documentation... Ever?

A lot of them can and do ask for the same and sometimes even more - It will depend on the issuing bank and perceived risk of that companies clients - That's on top of the mandatory requirements for international money laundering laws.

That company also has to use its experience to judge when to be even more cautious.

Its about calculating risk - Exactly same way the processors do when they are processing transactions on a pay site.

What do you guys prefer?

1-) A company like epassporte that everything was going on? I had a business account with them back in days and was able to create sub account for affiliate at any name, with no documentation etc... So imagine what someone with bad ideas could have done with all this....

2-) A company that check seriously every single account they open up?

Do you guys think it's a good business move to refuse someone that will bring what? less than 100$ profits per year? Maybe yes maybe not.... but on the long run it's probably a good move! Tell yourself that there's might be company that don't want repeat same mistakes than others did in the past.

For RedPass:
If we have doubts about a national ID if its acceptable or not we inquire with a the relevant authorities to see if its acceptable or not on a case by case basis, for the Philippines you can send me the account email and I can review the account and see if we would be able to accept it or not.
We accept legal documents in any language where we have staff that are proficient in a language of the documents submitted we will accept them.

If you are based in EU, SEPA countries and a few other countries you can load your RedPass account using domestic deposit which is a a lot cheaper than via wire.

Maintaining cash-flow long-term.

If one of the processors we currently use go under or no longer decide to process for our services and products rather than having to scramble to find an alternative, having one already in place already reduces risk for us.

Much like how everyone scrambled when Epassporte went under, nobody (it seems) had an alternate readily available to use so getting payments and sending payments became an issue.

I vote for MIchael. He saved me some pesos in Epassporte and never showed any attitude about anything. But, please, Michael, would you join something more mainstream and trust worthy like Payoneer?

Hi,

Firstly, I'd like to thank you for considering Payoneer as a payout solution for your employee. We provide thousands of companies with global payout solutions, including services such as prepaid debit cards and global bank transfers. If you have a registered company and sign up as a Payoneer partner, it's entirely free of charge and will allow you to send payments to payees in over 200 countries and 50 currencies.

I would also like to make it clear that Payoneer is a fully regulated US company, and we comply with all applicable online payment regulations. We review all new applications to make sure that they are valid and have provided all required information. While of course we do everything we can to maintain the best user experience possible, we also take all necessary steps to ensure the financial security of both Payoneer and our account holders.

If anyone has any questions about Payoneer, or would like further details about how they can become a Payoneer partner and begin sending payments, please feel free to contact me at any time.

Because you are a douche. I was able to replace an expired passport without a birth certificate.

Funny how I was able to get a passport without even having my mothers real birth date (she was born out of the USA to foreign parents).

I have a friend who has no birth certificate as an infant she was abandoned. Funny she has a passport.

BTW douchebag, when the passport office did not like my pictures that Office Depot took, they pulled out a camera and took one for me. Do you provide service like that?

suesheboy ,
I know its early and you may of misread read what I wrote but when I mentioned the birth certificate requirement it was for first time applicants. Not sure how being a first time applicant makes me a douche..

Sure if you come to the office in montreal we will be more than happy to help you scan your ID or take a picture of it. Or if you make it to phoenix ill hold a couple "How to take a picture and not crop it out and leave the flash on so you cant read any of the details" class.

Regards,
Chris.....or douchebag as you like to call me.

Are you serious? What nationality are you? That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard of in my life. As if you were going to say, "yes, I'm part of a sleeper cell just waiting on the call. I have a bomb in my underwear right now."

You are a douchebag based upon what you post and how you treat people.

Ruth has 1,000 times more class than you.

edit: forgot number 5 ... a random picture on a white background with no "facial expression" as the lady put it

You never stated at first for a first time passport. Now that you learned you were wrong, you changed the story and continue to deny your first statement.

Quite simply you just showed that you have deceitful tendencies. That's just what I am looking for in someone handling my money with no brick and mortar.

I also corrected myself but selective reading I assume
