Send a copy of your identity card ?
I notice that some sponsor ask now to provide a copy of your identity card.
An opinion on this ? |

Yeah, I've seen that before too. I'd be hesitant but maybe they can accept another substitute instead if you ask.

Generally, it's not like they have much of an option. There might be legal reasons why they need your information n record. However, I think if there is a legal case for them to bring up, they should do so on behalf of their affiliates just for the sake of doing so.
No one really wants to go through ID bullshit. I don't want my personal information floating around out there. They don't want to check and have governments crawling up their asses. It's a lose-lose situation. |

No way. If you've been around you've seen how shady some of these companies can be and how crazy some of the reps are.
I see why they might feel they need it (to cut fraudulent affiliates) but there are other ways to do it and any true career criminal will have no problem creating a fake photo id to send you over the internet. You have no idea what they really look like because they aren't in front of you. With the way the industry is now there is a much better case for affiliates to ask for photo IDs from the owners as well as their home addresses. ![]()
