WTF is going on in Chicago? 45 People Shot In Chicago on ?Easter? Weekend

Chicago, IL — The city of Chicago had a very bloody holiday weekend this past Easter that saw at least 45 people shot. Of the 45, 9 were actually killed and 6 were children.
Among those killed were two men who were slain in the South Lawndale neighborhood. They reportedly were sitting in a Lincoln Navigator when an orange Hummer blocked their path, two people wearing masks and armed with guns came out, and sprayed the Navigator with nearly a dozen bullets. And it all happened right near a police “blue light” camera. The Hummer of course then fled.

Also killed was a married couple, both law enforcement officers, who apparently died in a murder-suicide at their home on the Southwest Side.

Just how bad is gun violence in Chicago overall?

In 2012 alone, there were 516 murders. That number dropped to 415 murders in 2014, still a high number, but actually the lowest murder total for Chicago in nearly 50 years. On average the city averages about 450 annual murders.

Been here since birth and never been robbed, shot etc... Most of the shit happens in da hood= west side, south/south east side. Stay outta the hood and use common sense= stay outta da hood, don't walk through alleys at 3 am, etc... and you'll be fine. It's not that bad here just that the bad areas are so bad that it throws the statistics to look like whole city is outta control. Wait till summer those bad areas will skyrocket even more as more people will be hanging outside. I'll take common sense/higher crime rate to live in Chicago over peaceful/boring farmland somewhere else with nothing to do.

Really.. it's not hard to figure out what this was.. Black on Black crime, most likely related to drugs. I'd suspect that the majority of the shootings there are all the same. Inner city thug life gone wild.. Outside of the typical areas it's probably not very violent.

They should implement procedures like toronto has in place. The police already know who most of the major criminals are. When one of their cronies pulls a gun in public and shoots it off. Every single person connected to them in an illegal way is arrested in under 24 hours.

It won't stop the crazies. However it will force the gangs to stop airing their business in public.

Why? Because suddenly johnny untoucheable is picked up...anything in his home is used against him. Him and several hundred other gang members connected are now all facing charged for anything they are caught with.

So when Gang member A pulls a gun and uses it in public for any reason....he will now know that all his other Gang members have less than 24 hours to serve him up on a platter or they are all going down.

The have done this twice and now it is very much kept secret and out of the public eye.
