Hydro and wind are also "Green" energy, but I get your point. I would argue that Solar while slow to be adopted by the US, is thriving in other countries such as Germany where for the first time about 2 weeks ago, Solar provided 51% of the electricity needed for the entire country. It's because these fools do nothing but talk out of their asses, they have no idea how things actually work in the real world. They want "the rich" to pay a higher percent even though the rich has always paid in more and been carrying everyone else on their backs.

Only fair way I see to do it would be to get rid of all taxes other than sales tax. jack it up and split it between the state and government. Who ever spends more will be paying more.

Robbie you have it wrong. China is going full force building solar panels and other green energies. The Obama administration provided assistance to companies like Solyndra to help improve the technology to and to hopefully beat China. Why should America or any other country buy solar panels from China when it could have been built right here at home, and create more high tech jobs in addition to the installation jobs?

You should also know that Solyndra was back by the Walton Family (Owners of Walmart, and conservatives themselves). Their loan was guaranteed by the Department of Energy, which itself came from GEORGE W BUSH (Surprise! He did something that was good).

When the economy tanked, some solar companies including Solyndra just could not compete with the subsidized companies in China and went bankrupt.

But instead of explaining even the most basic bits of the truth, the right wingers blame obama, and call green energy a failure.

The amount of complete bullshit spewed by right wingers in office, and in the media, and even here on GFY, is both troubling and sad.

Taxes are based on percentages. If you pay a lower percentage than the next guy, that means you pay less taxes than that guy. It has nothing to do with one number being larger than the other until you talk tax rate, which is expressed as a percentage.

I was watching fox during the elections, I was sick of it being one sided, tried to watch MSNBC and was shocked to see that they were even much worse than Fox. You don't have to lie straight out, Covering only parts of the story that you want and ignoring other things is just as bad and pretty much the same thing as lying. So I tried CNN which I thought was neutral only to find out they were doing the same thing. I give up, and don't believe much anything from media.
