The oven is a fast way to cook lots of bacon. Just use a sheet pan. Make the blt like normal after the bacon is cooked.

You can drink it after it cools.

If you don't want to fry it in the grease use one of those cooling racks between the pan and bacon.

Get good butcher bacon, applewood smoked etc, bake rather than fry. Grease drains out onto foil and the bacon is crisp and straight. Perfect for BLT's

.

Between four of us, about 5 weeks. Baking it is the way to go with a good thick cut bacon!

It's a really sad moment when I fry up some eggs and realize there's no bacon left.

Always check the bacon levels before egg frying.

What can you fit in there like 5 slices? Plus you have to stand there and flip it.

I put some foil on a pan and throw on a pound of bacon and stick it in the oven. Come back in 15 minutes and eat.

of course, 5 slices.

that's how bacon is cooked.

Even when I cook my seafood gumbo, the first thing I do is fry a pound of bacon and use the grease for the roux.

then while I'm stirring the roux, I eat the bacon!

it's perfect.

I make bechamel with bacon grease for potato soup. It's basically a white roux. Never tried it for gumbo. I always use veg oil for that. I was taught the flavor of roux comes from the amount of browning. Is it much better with bacon grease?

I'm going to open bacon store, with gourmet boutique bacon, hard to find bacon, limited edition bacon, "named" bacon, single barrel bacon, signed bacon, artisanal bacon, and maybe some Canadian bacon.

I am going to go have breakfast now.
