Never really drank coke in my 46 years on this planet, yet suddenly... I cant get enough of it!

So, two questions...

1) What soda have you 'discovered' lately...

2) As its 'diet' coke, how long till I start to lose weight?

It may have no calories compared to sugar, but it triggers the same things in your body that sugar does -- which lead to fat storage. So it'll indirectly make you fatter.

Aspartame is NOT harmless at all - it's very dangerous, especially if you have an allergy with it - it took them a very very long time to figure out why I was so sick and was gaining weight and I had not had anything but diet drinks and used this in my coffee, tea and anything else I was drinking - it turned out that I was having an allergic reaction to aspartame and it was making me sick in ways that Drs didn't even know what the hell to do.

I stopped eating or drinking anything with aspartame in it and the headaches went away and I started losing the weight... so while it MAY not be dangerous to some, it is extremely dangerous to those of us that are allergic to whatever they put on that nasty product.... this is the experience SongRider (my husband) has with it -

They make a Diet Coke with Splenda in it, IF, and this is a huge IF, I even go near a diet drink, it has to have splenda or I can't touch it.

I just don't buy cokes of any kind anymore - diet or otherwise.
