So for the past few months I have been trying to make some $ to help my girlfriend who, back in October of last year, was diagnosed with cancer (stage 4 chondrosarcoma). Of course, I ended up failing at this so I decided to try using gofundme . com to help, but so far not much has happened with this. All I want to do is help and I have tried finding work, but this did not work.

I don't expect much to come from this, but figured I have nothing to lose posting this here. Sorry for bothering you all with this. I'm just very stressed out. I have already tried the people on my facebook via private msgs since I did not want to put this on my facebook page, but that didn't help and I can understand why. So many of us are going through hard times.

I've been helping the best I could with the low amount of $ I have\make, but this is not even coming close to actually helping. We have looked into many things locally, but so far nothing has helped very much. Anyway, I won't keep babbling on an on. You can go to http://www.gofundme.com and read a little more.

no, it won't cover cancer at all, but anything is better then nothing in this case, The stress level around here is very high and I have to do everything that I can to lessen her stress so she can at least feel a little happier with whatever amount of time she has left. She won't be getting any treatments since they won't actually do anything positive for her.

I wish you the best of luck, however stage 4 of any kind of cancer? I am not sure there is a dollar amount that would help with anything. My best advice is to seek welfare or something. Any donations here are not going to cure cancer. Ask her family, sell your car, stop posting here and shut off your internet and save that monthly bill.

This $ would definitely not stop anything, but it will help with some of the things that are stressing her out the most right now. We have already got rid of a few things to lower her monthly expenses. neither of us have a car. the internet is not a huge expense so this would not solve or help anything. All I am doing is trying to get some temporary help while we wait for the other stuff happening financially to come through for her.

I'm not expecting anything that will be the savior of everything because that would never happen.. to anyone.. This is a short term solution for the current problems. Once everything else comes through in the next 3 months it will make things a little bit easier. Not perfect, but better then what it is at this time. But in the mean time I have to fix the stuff happening right now. This can't wait 3+ months.

My wifey and I wanna send you a little bit this weekend. We don't have much while going through her own post-cancer treatments and just finding out she needs more surgery for prevention, but I'll see what we can do since we totally get your frustration and kind of feel your pain, man. Cancer turns everything upside down... everything... money won't help her situation but at least it can make her remaining days and YOUR remaining days with her at your side a bit better, even if its a few bux for treats you can both enjoy.

I had noticed that success of gofundmes are a tough go. We did well around 2500 + private donations but it takes time. Give it time.. many people only donate later whilst they cannot when you first show it to them.

You should put up a photo of you both, makes it more personal and even strangers stumbling on your fund page will help. People want to connect with the people needing the assistance.

There's nothing I can say to make anything better, but we're thinking of you both here man. My heart breaks.... Hang in there Yngwie

Thank you very much. Cancer has really messed things up for sure. We never expected something like this to happen. At least not this soon, but now I'm just doing whatever I can to keep her happy. As hard as it is I will not give up.

If you honestly think that I would make up some bullshit about my gf having cancer you need help. I've never made up anything in my entire life in order to get $. If I would have found a job by this point I would not have even started this thread. I would have used the $ that I made from the job to help her with everything.

living together is being talked about, but we have to get everything in order before that happens. Once we get to live together this will lower monthly expense. We're going to have to find a whole new apartment since hers or mine will not fit our stuff, but I'm in the process of trying to find an available apartment in this town that doesn't cost us a fortune.

I decided to not comment to that since it's already hard enough knowing that I'm, going to lose her and not knowing when that day will come that having people make comments like that doesn't help one bit. All I was doing with this is asking for help while I try to do what I can on my end. Nothing more, nothing less.

I'm in Sudbury, Ontario. This is just hard for me to deal with since I lost my dad back on May 12 last year and not too long after my gf gets diagnosed with cancer. My mind hasn't been 100% since. But ya, I'm from Sudbury, live there my whole life,. I'm 40, have 1 younger bother and 1 younger sister. 2 nephews and 1 niece. Started the porn stuff back in 1997.. Did good for a few years, but as of 5 years ago, not so much. Been with my girlfriend for a very long time.. 15+ years..

I can understand how that would look suspicious, but on my facebook I chose to keep 99.9% of my personal life off of it and my family is fully aware of this. They haven't posted anything about gofundme because I told them not to. In either case, as I mention, I can see how this can look strange, but I would never and have never taken advantage of anyone.

I do things more privately because my gf wants it that way. I can go on and on and on explaining why, but it's just how she is and I will respect that. I do know that all this privacy and lack of things is not helping the cause, but I just wanted to try another place that may have been helpful so I posted here.


All I can say is that I am being 100% honest. I have no reason to lie and would never take advantage of anyone.

I have no problem with people having their own beliefs about things, but don't be a fucking idiot. Weed does not cure cancer, and people like you are the kind of people who convince others to not use scientifically backed medicine in exchange for home made remedies which can lead to people dying.

If you want to say "try weed, it may alleviate some of pain/appetite issues" go for it, but don't say something as dumb as "weed cures cancer"

The weed and dietary changes are only effective on certain types of cells and in very rare cases.

I'll explain why.

Nothing "programs" them to commit suicide. Remember, cancer cells are errant dna-driven and gene-driven cells that the body cannot properly interface with via protein receptors and chemical signals due to extreme mutations much like extremely aged cells. Our scientists can barely even interface, the deformation of the cells going arrant are just too random from person to person.. no two patients cells are exactly alike in their deformation.

THC, CBD and the general compounds in weed are merely used to raise the alkaline levels in the body to a point where fast-dividing cells cannot effectively multiply and create stronger offspring cells. Same with dietary cures. This is actually how some chemotherapy treatments work, but on a much much more grandeur scale and employing blockers tailored to specific cancers receptors. Even the few cases where CDB interrupted receptors, it was only for very very specific cancers.

I'm not saying it doesn't work for the ones it has worked for though. It CAN work for some cancers known to us already and some that we dont know it works on yet but really, why not try it anyways, right?. But... it's also dangerous in believing it's a "cure" all by itself because its a mix of changes in diet, prognosis, physiology of the affected tissue areas, general health, determination and sheer luck that comes into play. Just like there are cancers that chemo cannot effect, either, if the body is just unable to fight it or unable to replace the vital tissues in the area, weed wont do anything good, except make life a little better until its time to go on the next journey.

Anyways,

If anything, my advice in regards to ingestion and self-cures... try it.. you have nothing to lose, but changes in diet and using natural cures may (and likely will) prolong a better quality of life (which is totally worth it). And for the lucky few, it may just work.

We are in wild age of medical advances for cancer treatments. So many viable options and so much more research to do. I just hope something simple that works is found soon, because enough's enough... too much cancer. My community is full of it and even many of my family in ontario have suffered its effects...

(and yes, this was long-winded, but I also believe Yngwie needs this at the top of the page to get people to read his plea and that I think people who suggest these cures need to take facts into consideration when giving advice on such a sensitive situation)

The simple fact is, if this was fake, he would do jail time being that he is in Canada. This shit doesn't get taken lightly and can end very badly for him if he was making this all up. Scams like this dont get pulled very often. I believe he's genuine, but I also beleive that he is very private and not fully divulging the circumstances of his relationship to her - which is his business and her business alone.

We are both pretty private people, but no, I would never make something like this up. I'm not that crazy that I would risk going to prison over a few measly dollars or even millions of dollars. He private messaged me a name of his mother on facebook and said I could message her to confirm. I asked if I could message his brother / sister to confirm as well and he said yes

He then messaged again saying that his family doesn't know about the go fund me page because he never showed it to them since he knew they wouldn't be able to help out. In this thread he implies he has sent them the link and the reason they haven't posted anything on their facebook walls was because he asked them not to.

In private message he told me his girlfriend doesn't know he's doing this.

In here he has implied she does know he's doing this.

yes, I did say that I pm'd people on my facebook, but I did avoid some since I knew that they would be able to help and some of them were family so I did not want to bother them. Also, I didn't say that my gf knew that I was doing this. I'm doing it FOR her yes, but she doesn't know about this. I'm sorry if I said anything that made it sound like she knew.
