Republicans still trying to kill Net Neutrality
The GOP Is Trying to Nuke Net Neutrality With a Budget Bill Sneak Attack | Motherboard
Why do Republicans hate America so much and ignore the wishes of the clear majority of public opinion? Why because Comcast , Verizon & ATT pay them to.. Quote:

It's the exact reason they don't give a shit. It's because they are old cunts whom probably don't know how to turn on a computer much less use one. They don't have a clue as to what the effects will be and don't care as long as they get the big campaign donation..

If you two think all other legislation passed by either party is totally understood much less even read by those voting on it you're crazy.
That's what's fucked up with BOTH parties. |

Yes, but it doesn't get there unless someone puts it in. I'm pretty sure a congressman can't just add a rider with out approval.

You might have a point. Years ago there was a hearing that affected the Internet and I watched it on CSPAN. It was the "Congressional Committee on Technology" and the leader was a Congressman or Senator, I believe from Alaska. This was in 2002 or so, and he used the term "That email thingy". It was stunning that the leader of the Congressional Committee on Technology didn't seem to understand what email was.

so why do Republicans always seem to be the ones doing it when it's only corporations whom benifit? At least when Democrats do it, the tax payers usually get something out of the deal..

![]() I'm willing to bet Mitch here voted against Obama-care without reading it. And no Democrat read everything having to do with Obama-care before voting and passing it. They ALL voted the party line and nothing else. Common practice by both parties. EddyTheDog is correct, each congressman should have to pass a test showing they fully understand what they are voting on otherwise votes are cast following the party line and nothing else. . |

Obamacare has helped people get insurance.. It might not be perfect but it's a very solid fact that more people now have insurance and access to healthcare than at anytime in history of this country..
Meanwhile 80% of people in this country favor net neutrality, yet a few bribe taking Republicans feel they know better than everyone else.. |

This is pure conservative -- conserving their vested interests.
Communication: phone, radio and video/movies have had their long term capture of profits disrupted and, in some cases, crushed. They are just trying to keep what they accumulated. Their goal is to profit on the backs of new services and they could give two shits what the consumer will pay -- 100% greed and these interests have the war chest to buy votes. They cannot adapt so before they die ... |

Yet it's ok to "pass this bill so we can find out what's in it" as Pelosi said or pass an 1100 page trillion dollar bailout bill without anyone reading it at all.

Non-sequitur You said the Obamacare does not help anyone except insurance companies. The letter I posted indicates otherwise. And what's this "1 person out of how many millions" comment all about? You want more evidence of people saying how they've been helped by Obamacare? |

What do you get...are you serious? You get a society that has more healthy and happier people. You also get the benefits of increased productivity in this society. The fact that a person is now able to live a more fruitful and active life without constant pain should be enough alone to justify it...focusing on primarily on "what do I get" is BS. Shame on you. |

You guys were handed one of the best economies this country ever saw.. a booming middle class and your parents left you with a future. Your generation just kept taking and spending, when you ran out of money you just put it all on the credit card and left your kid's generation with all the bills and a dead future.. This country is still paying for your excessive spending and give me everything attitude. It will likely be well into the millennials retirment, before we ever get this country back on track because of your generation's fuck ups. They didn't call your generation "the worst generation" for nothing.. ![]() |

I really think a lot of people hate "Obamacare" for no other reason except that it has the name "Obama" in it. If it had been called "AmeriCARE" or "FreedomCare", the haters would be sucking its dick.

The end result is more people have healthcare than before, and it's starting to slow the increases in cost. Instead of spending all their time fighting it, the Republican party should have helped to fix it and then declared it a Republican victory. Because the Republicans are so damn determined to kill this law, a lawsuit going they filed might just cause millions of people to loose their insurance. That is some serious fucked up bullshit. If the Republicans have their way they will kill this law, and we'll have wasted nearly a decade fighting over it, spent billions, and be starting over from scratch with a similar law. After all, Obamacare is really Romneycare.

The only people that pay homeowners insurance is people that own homes. No one is forced to own a home and they and not fined or taxed for not owning a home. You cannot compare forcing someone to purchase health insurance with car or home insurance because those are voluntary. |

The fact of the matter is that since I was born here, even if I left I would be subject to their tax laws; unless I went through some legal process (just guessing there is one), but that shit just isn't going to happen.

Yes.. they do tax you when you renounce your citizenship. It's called an expatriation tax and there are other forms of exit taxes as well to discourage people from renouncing their citizenship, dipshit. Don't worry, they don't take your EBT card however.

I am talking about ongoing income taxes, not one time taxes. And even if the one time tax 'discourages" people from renouncing their citizenship, still no one is forced to remain a US Citizen. People with 6 figure incomes usually know that.

As far as auto insurance more than 25% of Florida drivers are uninsured and the state could care less. They just raise the uninsured motorist coverage for the rest of us. Think about it, roadblocks would catch 1 out of 4 drivers breaking the law but like I said, no one cares. . |
