As Breitbart reported, in 2013 the Obama administration released 36,007 criminal immigrants who had nearly 88,000 convictions. Those convictions included 193 homicide convictions, 426 sexual assault convictions, 303 kidnapping convictions, and 1,075 aggravated assault convictions.

Now get this, in January, the Department of Homeland Security revealed in a 38-page document to Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) showing that of those criminals released in 2013, 1,000 had gone on to commit additional crimes including terroristic threats, lewd acts with a minor, various types of assault, DUI, robbery, hit-and-run, gang activity, rape, and child cruelty.

i carefully read the OP and the linked articles.

those people are not helping, they are convoluting the issue(s), such as claiming the symbolism of the flag is related to black on black crime. reality doesn't work that way, we all know there are no panaceas. and resolving one issue amongst many is a step in the right direction, not the wrong direction because it didn't solve every issue.

and they are misrepresenting history, such as claiming the SOuth had a right to secede on account of the USA "seceding" Britain. the fact is megyn kelly is no historian, she proofs that by her getting it all wrong in her article, first and foremost by completely leaving out the States Declaration of Causes. But even worse, she only focuses on a moment in the history of that flag, waxing past the flag's use as a symbol of hate beginning in the 1950s.

His point was that everything is a deflection from the actual problems... problems which are dire, are long standing and are never talked about or addressed without the person bringing it up being called racist. i got his point. that's my point. him and others like him simply convolute issues. one thing has nothing to do with the other and the argument of trying to emphasis one issue by de-emphasising resolving another issue is simply wrong. the fact is that the symbolism behind the flag is an entirely different matter from black on black problems.

for me, Allen West could have used the flag issue as a stepping stone in the right direction segueing into that being a harbinger to blacks (and others) addressing black on black crime.

Taking the flag down was the right thing to do. It's a step only though, with many more still to come. Anyone saying "problem solved" over this one gesture has bigger problems, one being how to extract their head from their ass, or the very least the sand.

Difficult to tell if Megyn Kelly is serious or just being an Ann Colteresque knoxious attention whore. Either way her argument is so full of holes it doesn't hold air much less water.

that spree shooter was no vexillologist. he embraced that flag due to his online search for black on white crime he ended up at ccc and the flag was introduced to him there as a symbol for the hate he has. he didn't come to his own conclusion that that particular flag would be a symbol for his hate and violence. none of that has anything to do with black on black crime. you don't need to look deep into the internet to see that hate and bigotry are their own problems, mutually exclusive from black on black crime.
