That's odd; I didn't read any articles that implied Russia was making the United States their bitch.

The truth is this is a Russian problem. Syria has always been in the Russian sphere of influence. It's stunning that Russia allowed this go on for so long without taking action. Putin is all about "taking action" and is trying to give off the impression that the government is strong and it's military is strong. You would think Putin would have been all over this.

Commissioned Officers do not take an oath to the President, but they do take an oath the support and defend the US Constitution. Article II of the US Constitution establishes the President as the Commander in Chief of the United States armed forces. Thus, they do in fact take an oath to the President's bidding.

If Germany wasn't fighting on multiple fronts with the US, UK, etc. They would have marched straight through Russia and they'd all be speaking German now (actually that would have probably improved their country LOL).
