i have a home in Los Angeles and i've also researched police violence in-depth. Locally, i'm more likely to get shot (and killed) by LAPD than by a non-police person. the militarization of the police nationally is well-documented. police on citizen violence is more than fully-documented, it's been acknowledged as very real by even the police forces being scrutinized, both in the public and by the feds. cities as varied as chicago and albuquerque have recognized their own similar cop problems. those are not exaggerations and they certainly are not my opinion. those are simply SOME of the facts.

i'm not trying to sell you on the cop problem in America, because there is simply no need to, it doesn't matter if you realize it or not. i'm simply pointing out it's been fully realized by many of us.

He only broke it down by race because poverty is higher in minority neighborhoods.
He's saying the awareness of poverty is higher in those neighborhoods.
His statement was slightly hyperbolic and not to be taken exactly literally.

problems aren't mutually exclusive. i happen to think the cop problem is a bigger problem that black on black crime.

Classing people by colour is not representative until it's compared to income and circumstances. Could it be White people in the same income bracket, environment, education level commit a similar number of crimes?

Trump will redefine the meaning of Lame Duck President. Because he's just the President, not a dictator. The opposition will be from Republicans and Democrats.

Compared to a third world country just having the damn river is beyond riches, and the fact that we could go to the church and get food on sunday is like heaven compared to the starvation that is happening around the world, but to say that I don't know what poor is compared to a black person who grew up in this country? I do agree, when guys like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet continue to pile up billions when they didn't need anything after the first hundred million at least, it's ridiculous and an embarrassment in the eyes of so many in this world that just want some clean water and a fucking stalk of celery. There has top be a middle ground, and Bernie, outside of this comment which I have not gone and verified myself for context yet, he seesm to have the most common sense out of this group of candidates, but he still is oblivious to the hornets nest he thinks he can shake up. Go after the big banks and kill our economy? That won't help a damn person in the end, and certainly will increase his chances of leaving office like Kennedy did.
