Google Killing Adult Business

It's been a long discussion what the hell Google is doing. Historically, changes to the Google algorhithm have rarely been benefitical to Adult. But this time top keyword is only bringing aggregators and garbage site with no hosted content and all black hats.

Every single adult site has been hit by Google from June 2016 onwards and SERP is fluctuating too much every day that we have to check every site daily where it is now.... its effecting over all traffic which mean business is effecting and signups are going away... it's getting hard and hard to survive even if you have own product and own produce content...

What others are doing if you people like to share your thoughts on this which will help us making some strategies how to move forward and what need to be done... We can't fight with google algorithm updates but atleast we can change few things to keep in SERP.

Google AI is crushing SEO.

Google also strings Blackhats along as the AI is learning from the bad boys. Once they know enough about you and your friends, they will cut you lose and your sites go into free-fall.

pretty much all the porn SERPS belong to a few select tubes owned by the tube mafia

google editors get big kickbacks for giving these tubes authority status

Gotta say youre right.
- Cant promote dating on Facebook
- Very hard to get traffic to adult from Google.
- Adult banned on most social media except Twitter & Tumblr.
- Tubes own the traffic but hard to get watermarked videos listed on them

If your sites tank after a Google update, you should recheck your SEO work.
What used to work may not work anymore for now.

Since no one can defeat the might G there's no point in fighting them. I feel bad for any webmaster who depends on Google traffic for the core of their business. Imagine waking up one morning to find POOF your previously PR1 and PR2 sites, which have been at the top of Google listings for years and earned you a nice livng, are suddenly, magically on page 54.

Imagine!

Then think of all the hard work it would take to go from PR54 to PR3 (let alone PR1). Months and months of 'adapt or die' and just when you get to PR5 Big G drop kicks your ass back down to PR66.

Fun. NOT.

I learned the hard way just like you guys said "Don't depend on Google."

All circle jerk tubes get love. And cams, blogs and decent tubes get tossed aside. I wish Bing or something else would be more popular than Google. One day their reign will be over.

Some in adult are obviously benefiting, it's just not you.

Big tube sites rank because they have content, backlinks and huge footprints.

If you can't compete with that, then you're pushing uphill to be ranked.

Exactly, they rank well because they have the best content of other sites and provide a good user experience (not to mention backlinks et cetera).

You can't say that they have the best content. Most of high ranking site on Google serp totally depend on xvideos, xhmaster and other tube. They just embedding the videos from these site. No SEO at all.. A domain for example: indiansex.pro has been listed on Google. site dont have any SEO or any title or description, no hosted content, no sponsor, complete blackhat site and ranking higher.

Either some thing big is coming from Goolgle in few days or weeks time and these garbage site will totally remove from SERP or else some thing worst for people like us who produce own content spending hundred and thousand of $ every month getting no respect in Google serp.

I think he is deserved with current ranking ;)

2 words: Bing Ads The only search engine (as far as i now) that not only allows adult but their Bing Ads system (unlike Google Adsense) permits adult advertising as long as your publishing site is approved.

I was thrilled to find out how cheaply I could advertise adult products there. It worked out this spring to be less than 1/5th what I was paying Google per click on the identical highly targeted ad. On Google I was barely breaking even and there was not enough repeat sales to be worth the risk of continuing to dump so much money into google.

The bummer was even though it was a 1/5th cheaper per click than google, it brought it less than 1/10th the commission dollars.

The type of backlinks you develop are incrementally important now more than ever. Also, I find the webmaster tools of Google (for tracking backlinks) are highly inaccurate and not sorted in any way by value of the link. Responsive website designs are a must. I also find that Google is tracking metrics as a function of time (ie: value + quantity of links for every unit of time such as a week. Similarly tracking other metrics as social mentions as a function of time).

There's also a few other things with authoritive sites that I'm not willing to share publicly

Thanks for your thoughts.

Everyone's talking about 'type' of backlink now and how specific and authoritative they must be.

WTools is useless for getting any valuable backlink info.

But I didn't know about the time metric which is interesting. It means they want to see natural interest in your content consistently. The game's getting harder.

Are you in mainstream now or still in adult?

Yes backlinks are very important these days, good related backlinks... Otherwise you can always use blackhat methods but your site wont rank well for long, Its kind of a hit and run ...

It's hard to prove but my theory is that Google is measuring vital metrics (backlinks, social media mentions) as a function of time. If their unit of measure is weekly, then they can use that measure to see if your trend is upward or downwards. I've been experimenting by not increasing my links (just maintaining existing ones) and I have been noticing a downward trend even though the total number of links is constant. It seems to make sense from a logic point of view as well to measure a site's popularity as a function of time. It would also account for blog links that move from page 1 to page N over time.

Still in adult but mostly just dating/cams.

I can see that making sense for sites that churn out new content daily. But many surfers are also looking for articles, landing pages (sales pages) of one type or other, reference material, guides etc... Those types of sites tend to update very little.

Do you buy or create your own backlinks?

I have a hypothesis of the new SEO being "clean slate brands"

Code:
barry@paragon-DS-7:~$ whois -h whois.afilias-srs.net indiansex.porn
NOT FOUND
>>> Last update of WHOIS database: 2016-11-01T15:27:18Z <<<
Sometimes it is easier and cheaper to start all over with a new plan.

You can keep what you have and milk it out.

This is just an example of TLD branding.

I don't know why people say stuff like this. Duplicate content applies only to your site, so if you have page1.html and page1b.html with the exact same content, only one will get traffic and you will get a very slight penalty.

If Pornhub and xvideos have the same video with the same meta title, the one that'll rank the best is going to depend on all that SEO stuff, ya know? Backlinks, etc., on page, etc.

I mostly build my own backlinks as it's become very hard to assess the value of other people's links.

You mean like a PBN?

I feel the same way about other links. Some are easy to assess and are good buys but most aren't and they take A LOT of time to sift through as well.
