I disagree. I don't think it will be a landslide, but I think Hillary beats him.

I just can't see how Trump will be able to make enough inroads with Hispanic and female voters to beat her.

Hispanic female VP and Cabinet slots.

First female VP. First Hispanic VP.

Or Governor Haley for an all around minority win, plus she's young and attractive, daughter of a couple that lived The American Dream.

Powerful shit.

Trump can help himself with the right VP pick, but if he tries to pick a VP simply to help him with a segment of voters it could bite him in the ass. Remember when McCain picked Palin because she was a woman and a hardcore conservative? Turns out she was also batshit crazy and hurt him more than she helped him.

Palin was an unknown. That was also 8 years ago, with the Internet, that is decades. They definitely screwed up on their due diligence. Much better options this time around and pretty easy to dig deep on anyone.

In the end it will be about Trump making a good decision. There was a lot of information that came out since that election that said McCain's people advised against picking her, but he did it anyway.

Sure, there are great candidates out there. The question is will Trump (and Clinton for that matter) pick one of them and then how much effect will they really have.

Listening to Van Jones on CNN.

He said that Trump is polling well with 30% of the black vote. He then said that if Trump even gets HALF of that to vote for him...he wins.

Like Sly said, "due diligence." Trump will do it; I think that is something he will micro-manage. TBH, it is the only reason I think he would make a good president. The ability to surround himself with the right people.

On a more serious notes - in this case polls are too early. Trump "has not even started on Clinton" as first and secondly - at this time there are plenty of anti trumpster republicans, they will swallow that and will vote for Trump eventually (that does not show in polls yet).
Plus Trump will start being more "presidential" - again will attract some extras.
Plus Trump may get woman/latino VP - extra votes.

So the circumstances are not usual in comparison to previous elections.

30% of ALL (not republican only) Africans? I guess the question was "do you view him favorably" and not "would you vote for him instead of democratic nominee"?

And also by "half that" he meant that Trump wins if he gets 15% blacks and Hilary 85% blacks?

Van Jones is a smart dude, but ....

Delegate Calculator - What Would It Take To Turn The Blue States Red

Blacks will not turn out like they did for Obama, at 66%. He would need to get 30% of the black vote at 55%+ turnout to beat her, not 15%. I doubt he'll get 30%. However, whites with no college degree will turn out in greater numbers. That, based on what he has said, seems to be his strategy, to take back the Reagan democrats.

Trump won't show well at any debate with Clinton because he does not have the mental chops. Clinton will win in a landslide because half the Republicans will vote for her, all of the women will vote for her and all the Latinos and blacks will vote for her. Trump can't win with just the dipshit vote.

Since Trump is getting less black votes than Clinton the lower turnout the better for Trump.
Your posts sounds as if it is bad that they will not turnout in Obama numbers.

You are a generalizing fool still thinking other people care so much about parties like you do. Every single post of you is about parties, something that doesn't matter in reality at all.

I can only speak for myself but since my eyes opened years ago it's so clear that every politician is the same. Everyone, whether its a D or R, woman or man, a fucking crossdresser or a eunuch... I do not think in parties or all that other bullshit that was created just to let the closeminded people fight for team A or B. All the while in reality the teams are exactly the same.

McCain was a complete idiot puppet back when he ran for president. Just like Obama, Cruz, Hillary... idiot puppets. The puppets are all the same, just the name is different every 4 or 8 years. Trump is a unique candidate that breaks this mold, even you has to see this.

Breaking the mold of the illusion of democracy, you have any idea how important that is? That's why people support Trump.

No blacks won't turn out like they did for Obama. They all wanted to vote for a black President (nothing wrong with that).

BUT...having said that, I don't know if Van Jones was taking that into account or not. Or if he were taking into account that Republican primary voting is up 70% over what it was in 2012.

Trump already has 3 million more votes than Romney did at this same time in the primaries 4 years ago.

Plus polling has already shown that Trump is going to pull 20% of Democrats as well.

Maybe with all of that happening PLUS the 30% of overall blacks who like Trump...all he may need is 15% of the black vote this year to put him over.

I'm starting to think it's definitely going to be Pres. Trump

We'll see. The dipshit vote is not going to carry Trump to the whitehouse. If you knew anything about politics in this country, you would already know this. See you November 9, when loser Trump whines about rigged voting causing him to lose the election.

hey i'm with you and agree on all points until you said trump is going to fix all of that.. he will not do any of that. He will replace all the corporate backers with his own ego instead and his ego is a very dangerous thing to give that much power to.

I don't think anyone here thinks that Hilary is the solution here either but it becomes the lesser of two evils in that scenario, which is why she would probably win against him.

No no no, losing or winning is one thing. I called you out specifically on one statement which was MORE THAN DELUSIONAL. A person who claims idiotic things like that is not to be taken seriously.

And that is not even mentioning your another delusion - that only dipshits are voting for Trump. One must be a retard to actually think that.

Polishing your pocket rockets I see.

My main concerns are economic and trade issues. Hillary will do very little to disturb the status quo. That's probably my best option.

Neither Hillary or Donald are to my liking really.
This thread is a joke and mental masturbation in speculation.

Trump is dominating the Republican field, but nationally against Clinton the polling says he doesn't have a chance. With Romney vs Obama they were consistently within a point of each other for the year running up to the election. With Trump vs Clinton, Trump is not even in the ballpark for a win. Fox News - FOX NEWS - has him loosing by 7%. All others are higher, as high as 12%.

Trump has lost the Hispanic, female, and Muslim demographics.

You called me out? So you think with your walnut sized brain, that every Republican female is going go to the voting booth and vote for tRump? Man, you are delusional. But that doesn't matter, like I said the dipshit vote is not going to carry your idiot candidate. You only show that you did not pay attention to the last two elections. You are being fed a load of shit and you're gobbling it right up. Your clown show is not going to make prime time. End of story. Watch how it plays out this summer and learn something. You can ramble and dribble all you want, but tRump ain't happening. The primaries mean shit, when the rest of this country sees Trump try to handle a debate with Clinton, they will laugh him out of the running. He will lose by the largest landslide in this country's history. Suck on that dipshit.

Trump brought up a very good point in regards to current polling.

He has had his OWN party spending millions and running over 55,000 negative ads AGAINST him!!!!

Hillary has had comparably smooth sailing...practically anointed by her party with the only harsh things being Sanders questioning her on her speeches to Wall Street.

I don't think that any of those polls mean anything at all once the general election starts.

Those numbers are going to change DRASTICALLY when the Republican Party stops attacking their own nominee and Trump turns his attention to taking down Hillary.

Her baggage is MASSIVE. And if you had taken the time to listen to Trump's foreign policy address...he laid out a list of horrible missteps that she made as Secretary Of State that have left the world in turmoil.

Anyway, I don't think that current poll numbers on their matchup are accurate given that he has had all that negative stuff thrown at him by his own party. She hasn't had ANY negative ads directed at her...yet.

Just wait until that starts happening and you will see those numbers start to change rapidly.

It's not just the polls, Clinton has over 2 million more votes than Trump nationwide.

That's not even taking into account the number of Independents & Democrats that switched sides voting for Trump to prop him up to be the GOP nominee.

What the fuck? Where did I say that, you idiot? Where did I say that 100% of republicans will be voting Trump? And this brainless tool even calls me an idiot while "arguing" in completely illogical (brassmonkey like) fashion.

Let me repeat, you retard, I called you out on this:

Quote:
half the Republicans will vote for her
And he tries to evade this by switching the topic as if I claimed that 100% of republicans were going to vote for Trump.
Seriously, this is brassmonkey level of logic

Indeed, that is why I said - it is way too early to rely on polls, due to the unusual circumstances compared to previous elections.
Simpletons like Rochard do not consider this at all, they just scream "look at the polls" without thinking at all.

100% wrong... as usual. Post a link to support that claim and please do mention the date of report in large font.

Voting for a guy you like isn't "propping" them up. It's called "voting".

And keep in mind that there aren't a lot of states that allow that. Only a few. And in the ones that did...yeah! Dems and Independents voted for Trump.

Same thing for Bernie Sanders.
In the few states that allowed it...independents voted for him in droves and he won those states. But in the states that DON'T allow it...Clinton won.

But keep in mind...according to PEW research last year...32% of people are registered Democrats. Only 23% of people are registered Republicans.
Meanwhile 39% of all people identify as Independent.

In the general election you can vote for anyone you like. All those independents, republicans, and democrats can vote for anyone...regardless of their party.

So we will see if independent voters want to vote for an establishment candidtate like Hillary. Or an outsider like Trump.

It's easy to look at some of the data and cherry pick it. That's what the analysts on the news programs and in the press have been doing.
And it's why they have been 100% WRONG on everything they have predicted so far.

Yeah, he's wrong.

As of March (not counting what has happened in April yet) these were the numbers:
Clinton 8,668,136
Trump 7,548,429

And since Republican voting is up 70% and Dems are DOWN by over 30%...here is what the overall voting looked like as of March:
Republicans 20,375,925
Democrats 15,070,178

I really do think that Hillary is going to be beaten. And it might not even be close.

The problem is, once the nominations have been done, very few people vote for anyone but the nominee, so it matters little, if anyone else is on a ballot.

I don't think Clinton can win against him. Forget about current polls and numbers, they are more or less meaningless until the real race for the presidency begins.

Republicans have everything at stake to push one of their party into the White House.

Here's your link for Clinton's 12,135,066 votes.

Here's your link for Trump's 10,056,691 votes.

Stats are current as of yesterday.

Now make excuses, say how things will change and discount this cycles massively successful crossover strategy, etc carry on.
