Although Trump told us there was no communication between his campaign the Russian government.... We have Flynn, Sessions, and now two others..... How much further does this go?
Exclusive: Two other Trump advisers also spoke with Russian envoy during GOP convention

And now we find out that Trump's son in law took meetings with the Russian government at Trump Tower? LOL.

As ALL incoming transition teams do. Even the NY Times (which has openly stated that they are anti-Trump and have no journalistic credibility with their bias) says in the link you provided: "It is common and not improper for transition officials to meet with foreign officials." Of course it is. Obama did it. Bush did it and all the way back to when Adams followed Washington as our second President. Everyone at that level is smart enough to start getting their ducks in a row. The truly unprecedented political move was Pres. Obama putting sanctions on Russia during his final days as President. A politically clever way to lay landmines for Trump's first month in office. He started a major confrontation with the 2nd most powerful country on Earth and gave all the Democrat politicians a beautiful way to delay and hurt Trump's administration. Clever and smart politically by Pres. Obama. TERRIBLE for the country. I know that every anti-Trump person is just loving this. That's cool. But when you really think about it...you know very well that Pres. Obama did it intentionally and knew how it would play out. He would NEVER have put sanctions on Russia in the final days of his lame duck period if Hillary had won the election. Instead he would have worked closely with her and her team to make sure that the U.S. relationship with Russia was as good as he could get it. But I suppose that everyone who hates Trump with blind passion finds this to be at least one thing that can make them smile. As we saw at the speech in front of Congress...the Democrat politicians sat on their hands and did NOT applaud when Trump said he wanted to work together to help American families get better jobs and rise up. Put them in a horrible light. Who the hell DOESN'T want that? And yet...they did not applaud and instead made grimacing faces. Nancy Pelosi just looked bad doing that. But at least President Obama gave them this parting gift. So instead of working with Trump on the important issues that were promised to the American people: jobs, trade, immigration, security....the Democrats can keep everything in chaos over John Podesta's emails that revealed the truth about Hillary Clinton. And his email password was "password". lol Great security there! |

As for Sessions...He was asked specifically if anyone in the Trump campaign had met with any Russian officials. He said that he had no knowledge of any of that happening. Sessions was a U.S. Senator. Not a member of the staff of the Trump campaign. He was just a Senator who endorsed Trump. So if Hillary had won...would we have investigated Elizabeth Warren for anyone she talked to? Or Chuck Schumer? Or any other govt. official based on which candidate they endorsed? Meanwhile truly important things are being slowed down as the Trump administration has to deal with political b.s. And if you hate Trump and want him to fail that is a good thing. Stop him from doing things you disagree with. If you're like me, and want to see new trade deals, tax reform, and new job growth...then it's a bad thing that's going on. Hillary lost. John Podesta's emails that were put out by Wiki Leaks 8 MONTHS before the election didn't cause that. She was a terrible candidate put forward by a political party that is on life support this year. Hopefully, the Democrat Party will stop shooting themselves in the foot...perform an "autopsy" that identifies the REAL reasons that they have lost all power in the local, state, and Federal govt.'s But the longer they act like spoiled brats and make themselves look like sore losers...the longer it will be before they are able to get new blood into their party and push forward a more "working man's" agenda. I was hoping that they would do that immediately after the election. But..it looks to me like this could lead to them losing even more ground in the 2018 elections. ![]() |

well - Sessions said that "he has been called a surrogate" during the Trump campaign - which kind of makes him part of the campaign, no?
but I completely agree about the Democratic party - besides Bernie. but otherwise i do read a lot of butthurt and no real solutions from them

Especially a high-powered U.S. Senator who was sitting on the Armed Services Committee in the Senate. I could call you a "surrogate" for the Democrat Party of the U.S. because you are always taking that side in debate. But it doesn't mean that you are a part of the Democrat Party. Here is the actual question from Sen. Al Franken and the answer from Sessions: SEN. AL FRANKEN: "If there was any evidence that anyone affiliated with the Trump campaign communicated with the Russian government in the course of this (2016) campaign, what would you do?," the Minnesota Democrat asked. SESSIONS: "I'm not aware of any of those activities. I have been called a surrogate at a time or two in that campaign and I did not have communications with the Russians." Now you can take that as Sessions "lying" or you can take it as Sessions telling Franken that he was not a part of the Trump campaign and did not have meetings with Russian officials during the campaign and on behalf of the campaign. According to The Washington Post Sessions spoke with the Ambassador from Russia in July and Sept. of 2016. The Wiki Leaks dump happened in March of 2106 And when Sessions spoke to the ambassador...every media outlet in the U.S. was saying that every poll showed Trump LOSING in a landslide (remember those fake polls and fake news?) Was Sessions really meeting with the Ambassador to talk about how to "meddle" in the election when the email dump had already happened months before? Or was he meeting to discuss the sanctions...that had not even been talked about by Obama yet because he thought Hillary was going to win? (the sanctions happened in Obama's final days of Jan. 2017 as a "fuck you" to Trump) Or was Sessions just doing his job as a senior high-ranking member of the Senate? If you hate Trump...then you believe that Sessions was definitely working as a Russian spy. If you like Trump, then the whole thing is just stupid. Obviously I voted for Trump. I want to see his economic agenda realized. This shit is slowing it down. Democrats are against him 100%, even if the things he wants are good...they will still be against it because if they can make him fail they will regain power. Same stupid shit the Republicans did to Pres. Obama. The Establishment in Washington D.C. does NOT want Trump to succeed. They want him to fail spectacularly so that no other non-politician will ever dare to run for President again. |

The Russians now have blackmail material on Sessions. The Russians can threaten Sessions by threatening to have their ambassador publicly admit that Sessions was discussing the Trump campaign in their meeting. They own him now.

Wait, I thought Sessions "wasn't part of the Trump campaign"? Then how was he still able to access a Trump campaign spending account to travel to the GOP convention??
From the Wall Street Journal: "Jeff Sessions Used Political Funds for Republican Convention Expenses Records show attorney general used campaign account for travel expenses to Cleveland, where he met Russian envoy" https://www.wsj.com/articles/jeff-se...ses-1488509301 |

Why is it that there are twenty-seven members of the Armed Forces Committee, yet only one of them meet with the Russian government, behind closed doors, and why wasn't the State Department involved? If there is nothing wrong with the Trump campaign meeting with Russian agents, why did Flynn resign? Why did Sessions lie about it under oath? Why are they hiding all of this? If this is perfectly normal, why didn't the Trump administration come out and say "Well of course we met with the Russians. Every campaign does".

His mannerisms and way of speaking reminds me of this easily excitable short guy with a Napoleon complex on my high school football team, he'd get all wound up about something and go off rambling with TMI. You can see Sessions starts catching himself and tried to reign himself in then gives those second guessing facial expressions looking from cues from people to see if he's gone too far off the rails. Pathetic for a 70 year old man in his position.. |

The Trump admin just had to get rid of Flynn over this kind of meeting they knew Sessions had just told Congress he had no contact yet didn't feel the need to revise that statement but rather to try to keep it concealed. The entire Trump admin is rotten to the core. They are likely going to go down as the most corrupted administration in the US history. Worse than the Nixon Admin, the only question will be how much they damage our country.. |

Eventually all of the truth will trickle out. You know there are dozens of people who know the truth, and one of them will either slip up or become disillusioned with Trump and spill. Or perhaps someone will be faced with an investigation or perhaps even jail time and they will sing like a jail yard song bird.

Russians now have "kompromat" on Sessions that they can use to blackmail him.
"The thing with Sessions is that the Russians almost certainly have a recording of these conversations or detailed notes about the conversations," he said. Painter continued: "And so, they've got something over Sessions. Sessions will be asked what was said in these conversations. And if that doesn't match what the Russians have in their records ... then they've got him, and they have this over him for the rest of his term. We have no idea of knowing whether we're in that situation, but it's just way too high a risk." With what is now known about Sessions' conversations with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, Painter said he doesn't think the attorney general "could effectively run that department." On the news, they were talking to someone who said that whenever a Senator meets with an ambassador from a country there is someone there to make notes of what was discussed and how long the meeting lasted etc. Basically, they take minutes. If Sessions' meetings were just a regular part of his job and were nothing to worry about he should be able to produce these notes easily and settle this very quickly.

I didn't think it was "wrong" of him to do it. Because it's not. It's smart. Why on Earth why wouldn't he prepare for a job he was campaigning to get. Sen. Obama had no experience at all. He was a Junior Senator first term of only 2 years. He had no experience talking to world leaders...far less than Trump has had working with countries worldwide since the 1970's. Anyway, I'm just trying to point that out to you. You don't like Trump. So therefore anything and everything is suspect to you. I understand that. The establishment and the media are downright threatened by him. They don't want to lose their power and money. I understand that. You should too. And "no", the State Dept. is not "involved" with meetings of Senators. A U.S. Senator far outranks any State Dept. official in our political system. How do you think that John McCain is able to just go to Syria like he has done over the past few years to meet with "rebels" (turns out they were ISIS)? How do you think former President Jimmy Carter has interjected himself in foreign affairs and even monitored other countries elections for them? It's not "illegal" to talk to anybody Rochard. It would be "illegal" if Jimmy Carter were to tell a foreign govt. classified information. But discussing things? Nope. And it wasn't "illegal" when Pres. Obama did it in 2008 either. Dude...this is politics. Plain and simple. And the Democrats are out for blood. They were embarrassed in the election and are intent on doing everything they can to take Trump down. I get it. It's just annoying to me that our country has a chance to turn things around, and instead the establishment wants to throw a monkey wrench in it. I think the Republicans are shit. And the Democrats are now proving they are shit as well. Trump is neither. But boy...the Democrats are doing a great job at pushing him towards the right wingers. And they are eager to draw him in. If the Democrats were smart (which they aren't), they would work with Trump and I believe they could get most anything they wanted from him as far as policy goes. But their quest for power is getting in the way. And I really believe they are hurting themselves even more when the 2018 elections come. But maybe then...maybe...the Democrats will change course and start being the representatives of the working man like they used to be. |

The Trump administration is having problems because they hide there contact with Russia and lie about it to the VP, congress under oath, and the American people. People lie to cover up. I feel sad for you that you defend Flynn, the National Security Advisor, who lied to our vice president about his ties with Russia. Morals aren't partisan the law isn't partisan. You can't say it's ok for Sessions to lie under oath, and then in writing, it's not ok. |

Obama got in touch with the State Department, and arranged multiple meetings which were documented. Trump did whatever he wanted, didn't contact the State Department at all, had multiple meetings with Russia, and then lied and covered it up. Obama wasn't accused of getting help directly from Russia, Trump is. The Trump administration is spinning lies and covering it up. If there was no wrong doing, why not allow an impartial investigation?

Obama takes campaign trail overseas - CNN.com 2. To both of you guys...I never "defended" Flynn. I stated facts. Talking to the Russians was part of the job he was taking over. He fucked up by lying to Pence. And Trump fired him...who needs a guy who isn't 100% a team player? 3. Rochard....Trump had ZERO meetings with Russian officials and didn't lie or cover up anything. Flynn lied to Pence. He should have came right out and said "Yes, of course I was talking to them and yes I was talking to them about the sanctions" That was his job. He showed himself to be a liar and the President can't have people that he can't trust...so he fired him. 4. Sessions SHOULD have told Franken at the confirmation hearing that YES he talked to the Russian ambassador. Once in his office with 2 Congressional aides, and once when he shook his hand as he was leaving an event after giving a speech. And that would have been the end of it. He wasn't asked that question. He was being asked in his 2017 confirmation hearing what he would DO as Attorney General if he found out that the Trump campaign had asked the Russians to hack Podesta's email (which Wiki Leaks had dumped way back in March of 2016). He answered that he himself had been referred to as a "surrogate" and that he had no knowledge of anyone in the Trump campaign working with Russian officials. That is the truth. There is ZERO evidence that ever happened. Just conjecture on the part of anti-Trump forces. My thoughts: 1. Flynn lied to Pence...Trump fired him. Good. 2. Sessions is a lawyer. A lawyer will always advise you to specifically answer the question you are given and NOT to elaborate or expand your answer into other areas. BUT...since Sessions is a lifetime/bureaucrat who had lived off the public teat for the last 30 years...he is not trustworthy in my opinion. I don't like ANY Of the politicians on Trumps cabinet. The only ones I have any trust in are the "billionaires" who are citizens like Trump and never held office before. So Sessions can burn for all I care. |

Here is exactly what was said: Franken: CNN just published a story alleging that the intelligence community provided documents to the president-elect last week that included information that quote, ?Russian operatives claimed to have compromising personal and financial information about Mr. Drumpf.? These documents also allegedly say quote, ?There was a continuing exchange of information during the campaign between Trump's surrogates and intermediaries for the Russian government. ?Now, again, I'm telling you this as it's coming out, so you know. But if it's true, it's obviously extremely serious and if there is any evidence that anyone affiliated with the Drumpf campaign communicated with the Russian government in the course of this campaign, what will you do? Sessions: I'm not aware of any of those activities. I have been called a surrogate at a time or two in that campaign and I did not have communications with the Russians, and I'm unable to comment on it. Sessions said he "was not aware of any of those activities". That is a direct lie. He met with the Russians. Twice. One time at the Republican convention. He also said "I did not have communications with the Russians". He did. Twice. Sessions was asked what he would do if there was any evidence that anyone in the Trump campaign communicated with the Russians, and in his answer he not only lied about having evidence of communication with the Russians, but also lied that he had direct communications with the Russians while working directly for Trump. Why is the Trump administration covering up connections with Russia if there is nothing to hide? Trump is telling us he has no connection with the Russians while his son tells us the direct opposite when he said ?Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets" and then ?we see a lot of money pouring in from Russia.? What are they hiding and why are they hiding it?

But here is the thing Robbie... You are telling us that this perfectly normal, yet you are telling us that Trump had "zero meetings with Russian officials". Which is it Robbie? All of them are telling lies about all of this and then covering it up. Why? What are they hiding?
