You're lazy. Global warming refers to the long-term warming of the planet since the early 20th century, and most notably since the late 1970s, due to the increase in fossil fuel emissions since the Industrial Revolution. Climate change refers to a broad range of global phenomena created predominantly by burning fossil fuels, which add heat-trapping gases to Earth’s atmosphere. Yes it is. . Not a joke. "The carbon tax reduces emissions. Depending on the model, the government either uses this revenue for a specific purpose, such as investing in renewable energy technologies, or distributes that money to the public to offset any hardship the tax may cause consumers." Learn: https://phys.org/news/2018-10-taxing...good-idea.html You're lazy. Yes we exhale CO2. Yes plants eat it up. The problem is that there is too much of it, and too much certain other greenhouse gasses. Stop being so dismissive about this stuff - you sound like a high school drop-out when you do. |

You know what? I wonder about that myself.
I had science as far back as grade 4 I think. It was my favourite part of the school day. My parents also encouraged me with scientific toys. I had thinks like a microscope, 100-in-1 electronics kit (a few of them actually), crystal radios, hand-cranked generator, see-through gardens, chemistry sets, a weather station that despite having no electronic parts could be used to predict the weather, etc. All of these "toys" reinforced my interest in science in school, and what I learned in school helped me get the most of those toys. Science should be taught everywhere. |

The right in the US has politicized science. It is truly the party of willful ignorance. They spread ignorance on a massive scale because it benedits them. Meanwhile their followers are barely able to think for themselves.
